4. Setup
Unpacking
Carefully remove the T-Post Driver and all accessories from the carrying case. Inspect for any shipping damage. If any components are missing or damaged, contact customer support immediately.
Fueling the Engine
This unit uses a 4-stroke engine. It requires unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Do not mix oil with gasoline.
- Ensure the engine is off and cool before refueling.
- Move to a well-ventilated outdoor area.
- Unscrew the fuel cap (Figure 4.1) and carefully pour up to 0.17 gallons (0.64 liters) of unleaded gasoline into the fuel tank.
- Avoid overfilling. Wipe up any spilled fuel immediately.
- Securely replace the fuel cap.

Adding Transmission Grease
Before initial use and periodically thereafter, it is crucial to add transmission grease to the unit. Refer to the specific grease port location in your manual diagram (not provided in this text) and apply appropriate transmission grease as instructed. This ensures proper lubrication and extends the life of the tool.
5. Operating Instructions
Starting Procedure
Follow these steps to start the T-Post Driver engine:
- Place the unit on a flat, stable surface.
- Ensure the fuel cap is securely tightened.
- Move the ON/OFF switch to the 'ON' position (Figure 5.1).
- If the engine is cold, move the choke lever to the 'CLOSED' (choke) position. If the engine is warm, the choke may not be necessary.
- Pull the recoil starter handle firmly and smoothly until the engine starts. Do not pull the rope to its full extension.
- Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke lever to the 'OPEN' position. Allow the engine to warm up for a few moments.

Operating the T-Post Driver
Once the engine is running and warmed up:
- Select the appropriate piling head adapter for your post diameter and secure it to the driver barrel.
- Position the T-Post Driver over the top of the post or rod you intend to drive. Ensure the post is centered within the driver barrel.
- Hold the ergonomic T-grip handle firmly with both hands. The integrated throttle (Figure 5.2) controls the impact force.
- Gently press the throttle to begin impacting the post. Apply steady downward pressure.
- Guide the driver to keep the post straight and prevent bending. The anti-vibration system helps reduce user fatigue.
- Continue driving until the post reaches the desired depth.

Stopping the Engine
To stop the engine, simply move the ON/OFF switch to the 'OFF' position.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your T-Post Driver.
Regular Checks
- Oil Level: For a 4-stroke engine, check the oil level before each use. Replenish oil every 10 hours of operation, or as needed, to the top of the filler neck. Use appropriate 4-stroke engine oil.
- Air Filter: Inspect and clean the air filter regularly, especially in dusty conditions. A clogged air filter can reduce engine performance.
- Spark Plug: Check the spark plug periodically for wear or fouling. Replace if necessary.
- Fasteners: Ensure all nuts, bolts, and screws are tight. Vibration from operation can cause them to loosen.
- Grease: Regularly check and replenish transmission grease as mentioned in the setup section.
Cleaning and Storage
After each use:
- Allow the engine to cool completely.
- Clean the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. Remove any dirt, debris, or grass from the engine cooling fins and driver barrel.
- Store the T-Post Driver in its blow-molded carrying case (Figure 6.1) in a dry, secure location, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- If storing for an extended period, drain the fuel tank or use a fuel stabilizer to prevent fuel degradation.

7. Troubleshooting
This section provides solutions to common issues you might encounter.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Engine does not start | No fuel or stale fuel ON/OFF switch in 'OFF' position Choke not set correctly Spark plug issue | Add fresh fuel Move switch to 'ON' Adjust choke (closed for cold, open for warm) Check/clean/replace spark plug |
| Engine runs, but lacks power | Clogged air filter Stale fuel Incorrect oil level | Clean or replace air filter Drain and replace with fresh fuel Check and adjust oil level |
| Excessive vibration | Loose fasteners Damaged components | Check and tighten all fasteners Inspect for damage; contact support if found |
| Post not driving effectively | Incorrect piling head Insufficient throttle Lack of transmission grease | Ensure correct piling head is used Increase throttle gradually Add transmission grease |
