Product Overview

The PECSU G4 MP3 Player features a compact design with a 4-inch full touch screen, powered by Android 14. It is equipped with an octa-core processor and ample storage for your media needs.

  • Power Button: Located on the side, used to turn the device on/off or wake/sleep the screen.

Setup

Initial Charge

Before first use, fully charge your PECSU G4 MP3 Player. Connect the included USB cable to the device's USB-C port and the other end to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The charging indicator will show the charging status.

Inserting the Memory Card

The device comes with an extra 64GB memory card. To insert it, locate the microSD card slot on the side of the player. Gently push the card into the slot until it clicks into place. Ensure the card is oriented correctly as shown in the diagram (if available in the physical manual).

Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power button until the screen lights up.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button until a power-off menu appears on the screen. Select "Power off" and confirm.
  • To Sleep/Wake: Briefly press the Power button to turn the screen off or on.

Operating Instructions

Basic Navigation

The PECSU G4 operates on Android 14, providing a familiar smartphone-like interface. Use touch gestures (tap, swipe, pinch) to navigate through menus, open applications, and control media playback.

Connecting to Wi-Fi

To access online content and update applications, connect your device to a Wi-Fi network:

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick Settings panel.
  2. Tap and hold the Wi-Fi icon to go to Wi-Fi settings.
  3. Toggle Wi-Fi on if it's off.
  4. Select your desired network from the list and enter the password if prompted.
  5. Once connected, the Wi-Fi icon will appear in the status bar.

The device supports dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz) for stable and fast connections.

Connecting via Bluetooth

The PECSU G4 features Bluetooth 5.0 for connecting to wireless headphones, speakers, or car audio systems:

  1. Go to Settings > Connected devices > Bluetooth.
  2. Toggle Bluetooth on.
  3. Put your Bluetooth accessory into pairing mode.
  4. Select the accessory from the list of available devices to pair.

Bluetooth 5.0 also supports file transfers between compatible devices.

Using Pre-installed Applications

Your device comes with popular applications pre-installed, including Spotify, Pandora, Amazon Music, YouTube, and Libby. Simply tap on the app icon to launch it and follow the on-screen instructions for setup or login.

Google Play Store and App Management

The PECSU G4 has full access to the Google Play Store, allowing you to download and update a wide variety of applications, games, and content.

  1. Accessing Play Store: Tap the "Play Store" icon on your home screen or app drawer. You may need to sign in with a Google account.
  2. Downloading Apps: Search for apps and tap "Install" to download them.
  3. Updating Apps: The Play Store will notify you of available updates. You can update apps individually or all at once.

While some pre-installed apps cannot be uninstalled, they can often be disabled through the device settings if not needed.

Google Parental Controls (Family Link)

Troubleshooting

Cannot connect to Wi-Fi.Check if Wi-Fi is enabled on the device. Verify the Wi-Fi password. Restart your Wi-Fi router. Try connecting to a different network if possible.
Bluetooth device not pairing.Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both devices and they are in pairing mode. Move devices closer. Restart both devices.
Apps are slow or crashing.Close background applications. Clear app cache (Settings > Apps > [App Name] > Storage > Clear cache). Restart the device. Ensure sufficient free storage space.
Poor audio quality.Check headphone connection or Bluetooth signal strength. Test with different headphones. Ensure audio files are not corrupted. Adjust equalizer settings.
Device gets hot during charging/use.It is normal for devices to warm up during charging or intensive use. If it becomes excessively hot, disconnect from charger, close apps, and allow it to cool down. Avoid using in direct sunlight.
