Setup

Powering the Device

Your MONODEAL CD1016 boombox can be powered by either AC power or batteries.

AC Power Supply

  1. Ensure the unit is turned off.
  2. Connect the provided AC power cord to the AC input jack on the rear of the boombox.
  3. Plug the other end of the power cord into a standard 120V AC wall outlet.

Battery Power Supply

For portable use, the boombox requires 6 x 'C' size batteries (not included).

  1. Ensure the unit is turned off and disconnected from AC power.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the unit.
  3. Insert 6 'C' size batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Operating Modes

CD Playback

  1. Open the CD compartment cover on top of the unit.
  2. Place a CD (MP3, CD-R, or CD-RW format) onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
  3. Close the CD compartment cover.
  4. Slide the function switch on the side to the "CD/AUX/BT/USB" position.
  5. Press the "CD" mode button if not automatically selected.
  6. Press the Play/Pause button to start playback.
  7. Use the Forward/Rewind buttons to skip tracks.
  8. Use the Repeat/Program buttons for desired playback options.

Cassette Playback & Recording

  1. Slide the function switch on the side to the "OFF/TAPE" position.
  2. Press the "Open/Stop" button on the cassette deck to open the compartment.
  3. Insert a cassette tape.
  4. Close the cassette compartment.
  5. Press the Play button to start playback.
  6. To record: Ensure a blank cassette is inserted. Select your desired source (CD, Radio, AUX, Bluetooth). Press the "Record" button on the cassette deck. The unit will begin recording from the selected source. Press "Stop" to end recording.

AM/FM Radio

  1. Extend the telescopic antenna for optimal reception.
  2. Slide the function switch on the side to the "AM" or "FM" position.
  3. Rotate the "Tuning" knob to select your desired radio station.
  4. Adjust the volume using the "Volume" knob.

Bluetooth Connection

  1. Slide the function switch on the side to the "CD/AUX/BT/USB" position.
  2. Press the "BT" button on the front panel. The LCD display will show "BT" and flash, indicating it's in pairing mode.
  3. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (e.g., smartphone), search for "MONODEAL" in the Bluetooth settings.
  4. Select "MONODEAL" to pair. Once connected, "BT" will stop flashing and remain solid.
  5. You can now play audio from your device through the boombox.

Note: The boombox does not have a Bluetooth transmitter function.

USB Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port on the side of the unit.
  2. Slide the function switch on the side to the "CD/AUX/BT/USB" position.
  3. Press the "USB" mode button if not automatically selected.
  4. The unit will automatically detect and play compatible audio files (e.g., MP3).
  5. Use the playback controls to manage your music.

AUX Input

  1. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX IN port on the side of the boombox.
  2. Connect the other end of the cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device.
  3. Slide the function switch on the side to the "CD/AUX/BT/USB" position.
  4. Press the "AUX" mode button if not automatically selected.
  5. Play audio from your external device. The sound will be routed through the boombox speakers.
