3. Installation Instructions
3.1 Tools Required (Not Included)
- Phillips Head Screwdriver
- Flat Head Screwdriver
- Wire Strippers
- Electrical Tape
- Safety Glasses
3.2 Pre-Installation
- Turn off power at the circuit breaker or fuse box to avoid electrical shock.
- Carefully unpack the fixture and its components. Keep the packaging until you are sure all parts are present and the fixture is working correctly.
- Review the wiring diagram and ensure you understand the installation steps.
3.3 Mounting the Fixture
- Attach the mounting plate to the junction box using the provided mounting screws. Ensure the plate is securely fastened.
- Pull the electrical wires from the junction box through the center hole of the mounting plate.

3.4 Wiring Connections
Connect the wires according to the following diagram. If your junction box wires are different colors, consult a qualified electrician.
- Black (Hot) Wire: Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black (or red) wire from the junction box using a wire connector.
- White (Neutral) Wire: Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white wire from the junction box using a wire connector.
- Ground Wire: Connect the bare copper or green wire from the fixture to the bare copper or green ground wire from the junction box. Secure the ground wire to the mounting plate's ground screw if available.
After making connections, carefully tuck all wires into the junction box.
3.5 Securing the Fixture and Installing Bulb/Shade
- Align the fixture's base with the mounting plate and secure it using the decorative nuts.
- Install one (1) candelabra (E12) base bulb (not included) into the socket. Do not exceed 60 watts.
- Carefully place the glass shade over the bulb and secure it according to the fixture design (typically by tightening a retaining ring or screws).
- Restore power at the circuit breaker and test the fixture.
4. Operating Instructions
The Golden Lighting Samara Wall Sconce is operated via a standard wall switch (not included) connected to the electrical circuit. Simply toggle the wall switch to turn the light fixture ON or OFF.
Bulb Type: This fixture requires one (1) candelabra (E12) base bulb. Maximum wattage is 60 watts. LED equivalent bulbs are recommended for energy efficiency and longer lifespan.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
- Always disconnect power before cleaning.
- Wipe the fixture with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or polishes as they may damage the finish.
- For glass components, a mild glass cleaner can be used, applied to a cloth first, not directly to the fixture.
5.2 Bulb Replacement
- Ensure power is OFF at the circuit breaker before replacing the bulb.
- Allow the bulb to cool completely before touching it.
- Carefully remove the glass shade if necessary.
- Unscrew the old bulb counter-clockwise and screw in the new candelabra (E12) base bulb clockwise.
- Replace the glass shade and restore power.
