The FREESKY Ranger Pro is a powerful dual-motor electric bicycle designed for various terrains, featuring a 3500W peak dual motor, a 48V 25Ah removable battery, and advanced safety features like 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes and an HD colorful display with NFC system.

2. Product Overview

The FREESKY Ranger Pro is equipped with advanced features for a superior riding experience. Key components include:

  • Powerful Dual Motor: Two hub motors providing 3500W peak power and 160 Nm torque, capable of reaching 32-38 mph and climbing 40° slopes.
  • High-Capacity Removable Battery: 48V 25Ah lithium-ion battery offering 40-95 miles range, with 4-6 hours fast charging.
  • Hydraulic Disc Brakes: 4-piston hydraulic disc brake system for sensitive and effective braking.

3. Setup and Assembly

Your FREESKY Electric Bike Ranger Pro comes 85% pre-assembled. Follow these steps for final assembly and initial setup:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all included components are present (2x Wrenches, 2x Keys, 7x Allen Key Wrenches, 1x Rear Rack, 2x Fenders, 1x Turn Signal Taillight, User Manual).
  2. Handlebar Installation: Securely attach the handlebar to the stem, ensuring all bolts are tightened to the recommended torque.
  3. Front Wheel Installation: Install the front wheel, ensuring the quick-release skewer or axle nuts are properly secured.
  4. Pedal Installation: Attach the pedals. Note that pedals are typically marked 'L' for left and 'R' for right, and have different thread directions.
  5. Seat Post and Saddle: Insert the seat post into the frame and adjust the saddle height for comfortable riding. Ensure the quick-release clamp is securely fastened.
  6. Fenders and Rear Rack: Install the front and rear fenders, and the rear rack as per the provided diagrams.
  7. Initial Battery Charge: Before first use, fully charge the 48V 25Ah lithium-ion battery using the provided 54.6V 3A charger. The battery is removable for convenient charging.
  8. Pre-Ride Check: Before each ride, check tire pressure, brake function, and ensure all bolts and quick releases are tight.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Turning On/Off the Ebike

The FREESKY Ranger Pro utilizes an NFC system for convenient power control. To turn the ebike on or off, place the provided NFC tag directly on the center of the display.

4.2 Riding Modes

Your FREESKY Ranger Pro offers multiple riding modes to suit various preferences and terrains:

  • Cruise Control: Maintains a constant speed, ideal for daily commuting.
  • Full Throttle: Utilizes both motors for maximum power, suitable for tackling hilly terrains and steep climbs.
  • Pedal Assist: Extends riding range by providing motor assistance as you pedal, ideal for long-distance travel.
  • Regular Biking: Functions as a standard bicycle with a 7-speed gear system for exercise without motor assistance.
  • Walking Assist: Provides low-speed motor assistance to help push the bike when walking alongside it.

4.3 Display and Controls

The HD colorful display provides real-time information about your ride, including battery power, mileage, speed, and current riding mode. The control buttons on the handlebar allow you to navigate display settings and switch modes.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your FREESKY Electric Bike Ranger Pro.

  • Cleaning: Clean the bike regularly with a damp cloth. Avoid high-pressure washing directly on electrical components.
  • Tire Pressure: Check tire pressure before each ride. Maintain recommended pressure for optimal performance and safety. The 26"x4" fat tires are designed for various terrains.
  • Brakes: Inspect brake pads and rotors regularly for wear. Ensure hydraulic disc brakes are responsive and provide adequate stopping power.
  • Chain Lubrication: Lubricate the chain periodically, especially after riding in wet conditions, to ensure smooth gear changes.
  • Battery Care: Store the battery in a cool, dry place. Charge it regularly, even when not in use, to maintain battery health. Avoid fully discharging the battery.
  • Fasteners: Periodically check and tighten all bolts and fasteners, especially on critical components like handlebars, wheels, and seat post.
  • Suspension: The front suspension fork should be inspected for proper function and cleanliness.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 How to Restore the Display to Factory Settings

If you need to reset your display settings, follow these steps:

  1. Press and hold the "+" and "-" buttons together.
  2. Enter the setting password "1313".
  3. When the display shows P00, press and hold the "+" button for 5 seconds.
  4. After the display restarts, press and hold the "power" button to exit the setting mode.

6.2 How to Switch the Motor Mode

To switch between different motor modes (e.g., single motor, dual motor), follow these instructions:

  1. Identify the current motor mode indicator on the display (e.g., rear motor mode).
  2. Press and hold the "drive" button on the control panel.
  3. Observe the display to confirm the motor mode has switched (e.g., to dual motor mode).

6.3 How to Reset the Power-On Password

If you need to change or reset the power-on password for your ebike, follow these steps:

  1. Press and hold the "+" and "-" buttons together.
  2. Enter the setting password "1313".
  3. Press the "Power" button to navigate to P20.
  4. Change the password to your desired new password. Remember this new password.
  5. Press and hold the "Power" button to exit the setting mode.
