This section provides step-by-step instructions for mounting your Perlegear TV wall mount. Ensure you have the necessary tools before starting (e.g., drill, stud finder, tape measure, pencil, socket wrench).

4.1. Wall Type Verification and Preparation

Identify your wall type to select the correct mounting hardware and procedure.

Image 4.1.1: Wall compatibility types (Brick, Solid Concrete, Wood Wall) and supported VESA patterns with maximum weight capacity (68 kg).

  • Wood Stud Wall: Use a stud finder to locate the center of the wood studs. Mark the drilling locations. Ensure the mount is centered on at least two studs.
  • Solid Concrete/Brick Wall: Use a concrete drill bit and concrete anchors. Mark the drilling locations.
  • Important: Do not install on drywall or plasterboard without wood studs or concrete behind it.

4.2. Attaching the Wall Plate to the Wall

  • Position the drilling template at your desired TV height on the wall. Use the included spirit level to ensure it is perfectly horizontal. Mark the drill holes with a pencil.
  • Drill pilot holes at the marked locations. For wood studs, use a 5.5mm (7/32") drill bit. For concrete/brick, use a 10mm (3/8") drill bit and insert concrete anchors.
  • Align the wall plate with the drilled holes. Secure the wall plate to the wall using the appropriate lag bolts and washers. Tighten all bolts firmly but do not overtighten.
  • Close-up of the wall plate and arm mechanism, highlighting stability.

4.3. Attaching TV Brackets to the Television

  • Lay your TV face down on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
  • Identify the VESA mounting holes on the back of your TV. Select the correct diameter and length of TV screws (M4, M6, or M8) that fit your TV. Use spacers if the TV back is uneven or if the screws are too long.
  • Attach the two vertical TV bracket arms to the back of your TV using the selected screws and washers. Ensure the hooks on the bracket arms are facing upwards and the arms are centered on the TV.

4.4. Hanging the Television on the Wall Plate

  • With assistance, carefully lift the television with the attached brackets.
  • Hook the TV bracket arms onto the wall plate. Ensure the TV is securely seated on the wall plate.
  • Locate the safety screws or locking mechanisms on the bottom of the TV bracket arms. Tighten these screws to secure the TV to the wall plate and prevent accidental dislodgement.

5. Operation

Once installed, your Perlegear TV wall mount offers various adjustments for optimal viewing.

5.1. Extension and Retraction

Gently pull or push the TV to extend it up to 943mm (37.1 inches) from the wall or retract it to a minimum distance of 66mm (2.6 inches). Ensure cables are not pinched or strained during movement.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your TV wall mount.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the mount with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Periodic Checks: Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they are tight and secure. Over time, vibrations or frequent adjustments can cause them to loosen.
  • Lubrication: The moving parts are designed for smooth operation and generally do not require lubrication. If movement becomes stiff, consult customer support.
  • Damage Inspection: Inspect the mount for any signs of damage, wear, or corrosion. If any issues are found, discontinue use and contact customer support.
