Setup

Follow these steps to assemble and prepare your electric yarn winder for use:

  1. Fix the Yarn Guide: Locate the screw hole on the side of the main winder unit. Insert the metal rod of the yarn guide assembly into this hole and secure it with the provided screw.
  2. Install Spindle: Gently push the spindle onto the central shaft of the winder unit until it clicks into place. Ensure it is firmly seated.
  3. Clamp to Table: Attach the table clamp to the bottom of the main winder unit. Securely fasten the winder to a sturdy table or workbench edge using the clamp. Ensure the winder is stable and does not wobble.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the USB power cable into the designated port on the winder unit and connect the other end to a suitable USB power source (e.g., a wall adapter, power bank, or computer USB port).

Operation

Once the winder is set up, follow these steps to wind your yarn:

  1. Thread the Yarn: Guide the yarn through the tension springs on the yarn guide assembly. Ensure the yarn passes smoothly through both springs to maintain consistent tension. Then, wrap the yarn around the base of the spindle a few times to secure it.
  2. Adjust Speed: Use the stepless speed control knob to select your desired winding speed. Start with a slower speed and gradually increase it as needed.
  3. Begin Winding: Turn on the winder. The device will automatically begin winding the loose yarn into a compact cake. Monitor the winding process to ensure the yarn is feeding smoothly and the cake is forming evenly.
  4. Remove Yarn Cake: Once all the yarn is wound, turn off the winder. Carefully slide the finished yarn cake off the spindle.

If you encounter issues with your Caydo A1 Electric Yarn Winder, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Winder does not turn on.No power or loose connection.Ensure the USB cable is securely plugged into both the winder and a working power source. Try a different USB port or adapter.
Yarn cake is loose or uneven.Insufficient tension or incorrect threading.Verify that the yarn is correctly threaded through both tension springs on the yarn guide. Adjust the yarn guide position if necessary to ensure proper tension.
Winder stops intermittently.Yarn snagging, excessive tension, or internal issue.Check for any knots or tangles in the yarn. Ensure the yarn is feeding freely. If the issue persists after checking yarn flow and tension, contact customer support.
Yarn is breaking during winding.Too much tension or too high speed for the yarn type.Reduce the winding speed using the control knob. Ensure the yarn is not pulled too tightly through the tension springs.
