Always prioritize safety when operating the spot welder. Failure to follow safety guidelines can result in injury or damage to the device.

  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, to protect against sparks and debris.
  • Ensure the work area is well-ventilated and free from flammable materials.
  • Do not touch the welding pins during operation or immediately after, as they can be extremely hot.
  • Avoid short-circuiting the welding pins.
  • Keep the device away from water and moisture to prevent electrical hazards.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the device. Contact support for repairs.
  • Store the device in a dry, safe place away from children.

5. Setup

  1. Charging the Device: Connect the provided USB Type-C charging cable to the charging port on the device and to a suitable USB power adapter (not included). The LED display will indicate charging status. Ensure the device is fully charged before first use for optimal performance.
  2. Installing/Replacing Copper Pins: The device comes with quick-change copper pins. To install or replace, gently insert the pins into the designated slots at the welding end. Ensure they are securely seated. The pen cap can be used for protection when not in use.
  3. Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button (located on the side) for a few seconds to turn the device on or off. The LED display will illuminate upon activation.

6. Operating Instructions

  1. Mode Selection: After powering on, the device defaults to AUTO mode. To switch between AUTO and MANUAL modes, press and hold the mode switching key (located near the LED display) for a few seconds. The LED indicator will show the currently selected mode.
  2. Gear Adjustment: In either mode, press the gear switching key (below the mode key) to cycle through the 11 available power gears. Select a lower gear for thinner nickel sheets (e.g., 0.1mm) and a higher gear for thicker sheets (e.g., 0.25mm). Experiment on scrap material to find the optimal setting for your specific application.
  3. Welding Process:
    • Ensure the nickel strip and battery terminals are clean and free of oxidation. Use the provided sandpaper if necessary.
    • Place the nickel strip firmly against the battery terminal.
    • Position both copper pins of the spot welder onto the nickel strip, ensuring good contact and applying slight pressure. The pins should be inclined at approximately 45 degrees to the welding surface.
    • In AUTO mode, the device will automatically detect contact and initiate the weld after a short delay. In MANUAL mode, press the power button to trigger the weld.
    • Observe the weld. A good weld should be strong and secure. Adjust the gear setting if the weld is too weak or too strong.
