2. Dash Cam Installation
Mount the front dash cam on your windshield, ideally behind the rearview mirror, to ensure it does not obstruct your view. Parking Modes (Requires Hardwire Kit)
The M300S offers two parking surveillance modes to protect your vehicle when parked. A 3-lead hardwire kit (ASIN: B0BM9JL327 or B0CX945M7P, sold separately) is required for these features to function continuously.
- Collision Detection Parking Mode: Utilizes the G-sensor to detect impacts. If a collision is detected, the dash cam will automatically power on and record a short, locked video.
- Time-lapse Parking Mode: Records continuously at a low frame rate (e.g., 1 frame per second) for 12, 24, or 48 hours, compressing long periods into short videos. This saves storage space while providing full coverage.

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
The M300S incorporates ADAS features to assist drivers and improve safety:
- Front Car Starting Warning: Alerts you when the vehicle in front of you starts moving, useful in traffic jams or at traffic lights.
- Lane Departure Warning (LDW): Monitors lane markings and alerts you if your vehicle drifts out of its lane without signaling.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the dash cam lens and body. Avoid using chemical cleaners that may damage the device.
- SD Card Formatting: It is recommended to format the Micro SD card regularly (e.g., once a month) within the dash cam's settings to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Back up any important files before formatting.
- Firmware Updates: Check the official AZDOME website periodically for firmware updates. Keeping your dash cam's firmware updated can improve performance and add new features.
- Temperature: Avoid exposing the dash cam to extreme temperatures for prolonged periods. The super capacitor design allows for operation between -4°F (-20°C) and 158°F (70°C).
