2. Safety Information
WARNING: To avoid fire, shock, or death, always turn off power at the circuit breaker or fuse and test that power is off before wiring. If you are unsure about any part of the instructions or are uncomfortable working with electrical wiring, consult a qualified electrician. This device is for use with copper or copper-clad wire only.
3. Installation
Proper installation is crucial for the safe and effective operation of your LIDER Digital Timer Switch. Please follow these steps carefully:
- Turn Off Power: Locate the circuit breaker controlling the switch location and turn off the power. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
- Preparation:
- Verify if GFCI/AFCI circuits are present. GFCI circuits might disrupt normal operation.
- Ensure the total bulb wattage exceeds 5W.
- Wiring: This timer switch requires no neutral wire, only a ground wire. Connect the wires according to the provided diagram. Typically, this involves connecting the hot (line) wire, load wire, and ground wire.
- Mounting: Carefully fold wires into the wall box and mount the timer using screws.
- Attach Wall Plate: Secure the wall plate over the installed timer.
- Warm-Up: The device requires a warm-up period (typically 2 minutes) after installation before full functionality.

4. Setup and Operating Instructions
The LIDER Digital Timer Switch offers various functions to automate your devices. The control panel is accessible by opening the cover on the front of the switch.

4.1. Resetting the System
If the screen appears blank or faded after installation, wait for the internal battery to charge (up to 10 minutes). To reset the system, press the 'RESET' button. The screen display will flash. Press any button or wait 2 minutes for the clock to display. Note: All system time and settings will be erased after a system reset.
4.2. Setting the Current Time and Day
- Press the 'PROG' button once to enter clock setting mode.
- Press the 'DAY' button repeatedly until the current day of the week is displayed.
- Press the 'HOUR' button to set the current hour (pay attention to AM/PM).
- Press the 'MIN' button to set the current minute.
- Press the 'MANUAL' button to save the time setting and return to the clock display.
4.3. Daylight Saving Time (DST) Function
To enable or disable DST, press and hold the 'HOUR' button for 4 seconds or more. When DST is enabled, the time will instantly shift forward by 1 hour (+1h). When DST is disabled, the time will instantly shift back by 1 hour (-1h).
4.4. ON/OFF Program Setting
You can set up to 18 ON/OFF programs for different days or day combinations.
- Press the 'PROG' button twice to begin setting ON/OFF events. The screen will show '1 ON PROG'.
- Press the 'DAY' button repeatedly until the desired day(s) or day combination is selected (e.g., MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU, MO to FR, SA to SU, MO to SU, MO, WE, FR, TU, TH, SA, MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU).
- Press the 'HOUR' and 'MIN' buttons to set the ON time.
- Press the 'PROG' button to save the ON time and proceed to the '1 OFF PROG' screen.
- Repeat steps 2-4 to set the OFF time for the first program.
- Repeat steps 2-5 for other ON/OFF programs (up to 18).
- When all ON/OFF events are programmed, press the 'MANUAL' button to return to the clock display screen.
- Press and hold the 'MANUAL' button until the 'AUTO' icon is shown so that the timer switch will run the programs.
4.5. Manual Override
To temporarily bypass the programmed schedule, press the 'ON/OFF' button. This will switch the device's output status (ON or OFF) without affecting the programmed schedule. The timer will resume its programmed schedule at the next ON/OFF event.
4.6. Random Mode for Security
The random mode feature deters intruders by turning lights on/off at varying times when you are away, creating an occupied look.
- To activate or deactivate the random security feature, press and hold the 'MIN' button for at least 4 seconds.
- When the 'RND' icon appears on the screen, the random function is active.
- In this mode, the timer will randomly delay the ON and OFF events by 0 to 30 minutes.
- Please note: At least one ON/OFF program must be set for this feature to work.

5. Maintenance
The LIDER Digital Timer Switch is designed for long-lasting performance. It features a built-in backup battery that retains all scheduled settings for up to 14 days in the event of power outages, eliminating the need for reconfiguration. No specific user maintenance is required beyond occasional cleaning with a soft, dry cloth.
6. Troubleshooting
If your timer switch is not functioning as expected, consider the following common issues:
- No Response After Installation:
- Check if the Line (Hot) and Load wires are reversed.
- Ensure the ground wire is securely connected to the switch or the junction box's grounding screw.
- Check if the light fixture itself is faulty.
- Settings Lost After Power Outage: Ensure the internal backup battery is fully charged. The battery retains settings for up to 14 days.
- Lights Flickering: This could indicate a bad connection or incompatible bulb type. Ensure wires are secured firmly and check bulb compatibility.
