5. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your BAKON BK602S rework station:

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage.
2. Placement: Place the main unit on a stable, heat-resistant workbench. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
3. Connect Components: Connect the soldering iron and hot air gun to their respective ports on the main unit. Ensure connections are secure.
4. Install Accessories: Place the soldering iron in its integrated holder. Ensure the cleaning ball and sponge are correctly positioned.

6.1. Soldering Iron Operation

1. Power On: Flip the 'Soldering Iron Switch' to the ON position. The LED display will show the current temperature.
2. Temperature Adjustment: Use the 'Up' and 'Down' buttons for the soldering iron to set the desired temperature. The soldering iron has a temperature range of 356-896 °F (180-480 °C).
3. Temperature Compensation: The built-in PID program provides stable and precise temperature control with a compensation function.
4. Auto Sleep: The soldering iron can be set to automatically enter sleep mode (setting range of 60-600 seconds) when idle, extending its service life.

6.2. Hot Air Gun Operation

1. Power On: Flip the 'Hot Air Gun Switch' to the ON position. The LED display will show the current temperature.
2. Temperature Adjustment: Use the 'Up' and 'Down' buttons for the hot air gun to set the desired temperature. The hot air gun has a temperature range of 212°F-932°F (100-500 °C).
3. Airflow Adjustment: Use the dedicated airflow adjustment knob or buttons to select one of the 17 available air volume levels.
4. Sleep Settings: The hot air gun also features sleep settings (1-60 seconds) to extend its service life.
