3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Headlight Installation

1. Secure the mounting bracket to your bicycle's handlebar. Ensure it is positioned centrally and securely tightened.
2. Slide the DARKBEAM DB06 headlight onto the bracket until it clicks into place.
3. Adjust the angle of the headlight to illuminate the path ahead without blinding oncoming traffic.

3.2 Taillight Installation

1. Wrap the silicone strap of the taillight around your bicycle's seat post.
2. Hook the strap to secure the taillight firmly.
3. Ensure the taillight is facing directly backward for maximum visibility.

3.3 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge both the headlight and taillight. Use the provided USB-C cable to connect the lights to a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter, power bank).

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

• Headlight: Press and hold the power button for approximately 2 seconds to turn the headlight on or off.
• Taillight: Press and hold the power button for approximately 2 seconds to turn the taillight on or off.

4.2 Headlight Modes (12 Modes)

Short press the power button to cycle through the various lighting modes. The headlight features a mode memory function, automatically recalling the last used mode after 8 seconds of inactivity.

• Flood Light Modes: Strong, Weak, Flashing, Breathing
• Long Beam Modes: Strong, Weak, Flashing, Breathing
• Dual Light Modes: Strong, Weak, Flashing, Breathing

4.3 Taillight Modes (5 Modes)

Short press the power button on the taillight to cycle through its 5 modes:

4.4 Battery Power Display

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Wipe the lights with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the casing or lens.

Store the lights in a cool, dry place when not in use. For long-term storage, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50-70%) to prolong its lifespan. Recharge every 3-6 months if stored for extended periods.

5.3 Water Resistance

The DARKBEAM DB06 is IPX5 waterproof, meaning it is protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction. It is suitable for use in rainy conditions but should not be submerged in water.

• Light not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to activate.

• Dim light output: The battery may be low. Recharge the light. Ensure the lens is clean.
• Headlight feels bouncy on handlebar: Ensure the mounting bracket is securely tightened. The rubber strap should be firm. Re-adjust the position if necessary.
• Cannot turn off without cycling through all modes: For the headlight, a long press (2 seconds) should turn it off directly. If it cycles, ensure you are holding the button long enough.
