Assembly Instructions
Assembly of your PatioZen Deck Box is designed to be straightforward with snap-together components. No tools are required.
- Prepare the Area: Choose a clean, flat, and stable surface for assembly.
- Assemble Side Panels: Take the four side panels and align their interlocking edges. Firmly press them together until they snap securely into place, forming a rectangular or square frame. Ensure all connections are tight.
- Attach Bottom Panel: Place the assembled side frame onto the bottom panel. Align the edges and press down firmly around the perimeter until the bottom panel snaps into place with the side panels.
- Install Lid: Position the lid onto the top of the assembled box. Align the hinges on the lid with the corresponding slots on the back of the box. Press down until the lid hinges snap securely into place.
- Attach Hydraulic Rods: Connect the hydraulic rods to the designated attachment points on the inside of the box and the underside of the lid. These rods assist in smooth opening and closing.
- Optional Lock Latch: If desired, attach the provided lock latch mechanism to the front of the lid and box. This allows for the use of a padlock (not included) for added security.

Operating Instructions
Opening and Closing the Lid
To open the lid, gently lift it. The hydraulic rods will assist in raising the lid smoothly and holding it open. To close, gently pull the lid down until it rests securely on the box. Avoid forcing the lid.
Using as a Seat or Table
The sturdy design of the PatioZen Deck Box allows it to double as an extra seat or a side table. Ensure the lid is fully closed and securely latched before using it for seating or placing items on top. The box has a weight capacity of 880 lbs (399.16 kg).

Maintenance
Cleaning
To clean your deck box, simply wipe it down with a damp cloth and mild soap. Rinse thoroughly with water and dry with a clean cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the resin material.
Weather Protection
The PatioZen Deck Box is constructed from UV-resistant and waterproof resin to withstand various weather conditions. While designed to be waterproof, ensure the lid is properly closed to prevent water ingress during heavy rain. Periodically check for any debris that might prevent the lid from sealing completely.
Troubleshooting
- Lid not closing properly: Check for any obstructions around the edges of the lid or within the box. Ensure the hydraulic rods are correctly attached and not bent.
- Water inside the box: Verify that the lid is fully closed and sealed. Inspect the box for any cracks or damage. Ensure the box is not placed in an area where water can pool around its base.
- Difficulty during assembly: Ensure all panels are correctly oriented as per the visual instructions. Apply firm, even pressure when snapping parts together. If a part seems stuck, do not force it excessively; re-check alignment.
