6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your media player, please refer to the following common solutions:

  • No Power/Device Stuck on Startup Screen:
    • Ensure the DC adapter is securely connected to both the player and a working power outlet.
    • Try unplugging the power adapter for a few minutes, then reconnecting it (power cycling).
    • Verify the power outlet is functional.
  • No Video/Audio Output:
    • Check that the HDMI or AV cable is securely connected to both the media player and your display device.
    • Ensure your TV/monitor is set to the correct input source (e.g., HDMI 1, AV).
    • Try a different HDMI or AV cable.
    • Test with a different display device if possible.
  • Cannot Read USB Drive/SD Card:
    • Ensure the USB drive or SD card is fully inserted into the correct port.
    • Verify that the storage device is formatted to FAT32, exFAT, or NTFS. MAC-formatted drives are not supported.
    • For high-capacity USB hard drives, ensure an external 12V power supply is connected to the hard drive if required.
    • Try a different USB drive or SD card to rule out a faulty storage device.
    • Only one storage device (USB or SD) can be read at a time.
  • Poor Audio Quality:
    • If experiencing poor audio quality, especially with older stereo systems, ensure all audio connections are secure.
    • Test with a different audio output method (e.g., HDMI to a TV with built-in speakers) to isolate the issue.
  • Overheating Issues:
    • Ensure the media player is placed in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
    • Do not cover the device, allowing for proper airflow.
    • If overheating persists, reduce continuous usage time.
  • Remote Control Not Responding:
    • Check and replace the batteries in the remote control.
    • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the media player's IR receiver.
