4. Setup

Follow these steps for the initial setup of your ice maker.

1. Unpack: Remove all packaging materials and check for any damage.
2. Placement: Place the ice maker on a level, stable surface. Ensure there is at least 10 cm of space around the unit for proper ventilation. Avoid placing it near heat sources or in direct sunlight.
3. Clean: Before first use, clean the interior of the ice maker as described in the 'Maintenance and Cleaning' section.
4. Fill Water Reservoir: Open the lid and fill the water reservoir with potable water up to the 'MAX' fill line. Do not overfill.
5. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Making Ice

1. Power On: Press the ON/OFF button on the control panel to turn on the ice maker.
2. Select Ice Size: Press the SELECT button to choose between 'small ice' or 'large ice' bullet shapes. The corresponding indicator light will illuminate.
3. Start Production: The ice maker will automatically begin the ice-making cycle. The first batch of ice typically takes about 7 minutes.
4. Ice Full Indicator: When the ice basket is full, the 'ice full' indicator light will turn on, and the machine will pause operation. Remove ice to resume.
5. Add Water Indicator: If the water level in the reservoir is too low, the 'add water' indicator light will turn on. Add more water to the reservoir to continue ice production.
6. Power Off: Press the ON/OFF button to turn off the ice maker when finished.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

1. Empty Water: Ensure the water reservoir is empty.
2. Add Water: Fill the reservoir with clean water up to the 'MAX' line.
3. Activate Self-Clean: Press and hold the CLEAN button (or a combination of buttons as indicated on your specific model's control panel, typically the 'SELECT' button for 5 seconds) until the 'clean' indicator light illuminates. The machine will run a cleaning cycle.
4. Drain Water: Once the cycle is complete, drain the water from the reservoir by removing the drain plug located at the bottom of the unit.
5. Rinse: Rinse the reservoir with fresh water and drain again.
