4. Operation
4.1. Ventilation Control
The front and rear vents can be opened and closed by sliding the respective levers. Adjust them to control the amount of airflow through the helmet, optimizing comfort for different riding conditions.
4.2. Shield Operation
The outer shield can be easily raised and lowered. Ensure the shield is securely closed before riding to protect against wind, debris, and UV rays. The shield lock mechanism helps keep the shield stable during rides.
5. Maintenance
5.1. Cleaning the Exterior
Clean the helmet's exterior shell with a soft cloth and mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish. For the shield, use a dedicated helmet shield cleaner or mild soap and water, then dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
5.2. Cleaning the Interior Lining
Remove the inner pads as described in Section 2.2. Hand wash them with mild soap and lukewarm water. Rinse thoroughly and allow them to air dry completely before reinserting them into the helmet. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your helmet, please refer to the following common solutions:
- Fogging Shield: Ensure ventilation is open. Consider installing a Pinlock insert if available for your shield.
- Loose Fit: Recheck your head measurement against the size chart. Ensure the chinstrap is properly adjusted.
- Excessive Wind Noise: Ensure the chin cover is correctly installed and the shield is fully closed.
