Powering the Unit

- AC Power: Connect the supplied AC power adapter to the DC IN jack located on the back of the unit. Plug the other end into a standard AC wall outlet (120V ~ 60Hz).
- Battery Power: For portable use, the unit can be powered by 6 x 'C' size batteries (not included). Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the unit and insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the cover securely.

The unit features a central control panel with buttons for Power, Play/Pause, Stop, Skip/Search (forward/back), Repeat, and Program. A red LED display shows the current track number or radio frequency. Volume and tuning dials are located on the side of the unit.
CD Playback

- Loading a CD: Gently open the CD compartment lid located on top of the unit. Place a CD (or CD-R/RW) onto the center spindle with the label side facing up. Close the lid securely.
- Playing a CD: Press the POWER button to turn on the unit. Select the CD function using the function switch (usually located on the side or front). Press the PLAY/PAUSE (►/||) button to begin playback. The track number will appear on the LED display.
- Pausing/Resuming: Press the PLAY/PAUSE (►/||) button once to pause playback. Press it again to resume.
- Stopping Playback: Press the STOP (■) button to stop CD playback.
- Skipping Tracks: Press the SKIP/SEARCH (◀◀ / ►►) buttons to skip to the previous or next track.
- Searching within a Track: Press and hold the SKIP/SEARCH (◀◀ / ►►) buttons during playback to fast forward or rewind through the current track.
- Repeat Function: Press the REPEAT button once to repeat the current track. Press it again to repeat all tracks on the CD. Press a third time to cancel repeat.

- In STOP mode, press the PROG button. The LED display will show "01".
- Use the SKIP/SEARCH (◀◀ / ►►) buttons to select the desired track.
- Press PROG again to confirm the selection. The display will show "02".
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 to program up to 20 tracks.
- After programming, press PLAY/PAUSE (►/||) to play the programmed sequence.
AM/FM Radio Operation
- Turn On: Press the POWER button.
- Select Radio Mode: Use the function switch to select either "AM" or "FM" mode.
- Tune to a Station: Rotate the TUNING dial (located on the side of the unit) to select your desired radio station.
- Adjust Antenna (FM): For FM reception, extend and adjust the telescopic antenna for the best signal.
- Adjust Unit Position (AM): For AM reception, rotate the entire unit to find the best signal, as it uses a built-in antenna.
Auxiliary Input (AUX IN)
The unit features a 3.5mm auxiliary input jack, allowing you to connect external audio devices such as smartphones, MP3 players, or tablets.
- Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX IN jack on the Memorex unit.
- Connect the other end of the audio cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device.
- Press the POWER button to turn on the unit.
- Use the function switch to select "AUX" mode.
- Start playback on your external device. The audio will now play through the Memorex unit's speakers.
- Adjust the volume using the VOLUME dial on the Memorex unit and/or your external device.
Maintenance
