5. Assembly and Setup
5.1 Battery Installation
This angle grinder is compatible with Milwaukee M18 series batteries. To install the battery, align the battery pack with the base of the tool and slide it in until it clicks securely into place. To remove, press the battery release button and slide the battery out.

5.2 Wheel Guard and Auxiliary Handle Installation
- Wheel Guard: Position the wheel guard over the spindle housing. Ensure it is oriented to protect you from sparks and debris. Tighten the guard's clamp screw firmly.
- Auxiliary Handle: Screw the auxiliary handle into one of the threaded holes on the side of the grinder head. Choose the side that provides the most comfortable and secure grip for your operation.
5.3 Installing/Changing Grinding/Cutting Wheels
Always ensure the battery is removed before changing wheels.
- Press and hold the spindle lock button.
- Using the provided spanner wrench, turn the upper pressure sheet counter-clockwise to loosen and remove it.
- Place the desired grinding or cutting wheel onto the lower pressure plate, ensuring the convex surface of the wheel faces the tool.
- Install the upper pressure plate onto the spindle, ensuring its convex surface faces the wheel.
- Press the spindle lock button again and tighten the upper pressure plate clockwise with the spanner wrench until secure.

6. Operation
6.1 Powering On/Off
- To turn on the grinder, press the safety two-action switch and then the power button.
- To turn off, release the power button. The safety switch can be locked for continuous operation, but always ensure to unlock and turn off the tool when not in use.
