8. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your monitor mount.

  • Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they are tight. Re-tighten if necessary.
  • Clean the mount with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • If the gas spring tension feels off, re-adjust according to Section 6.5.

9. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Problem: Monitor sags or does not stay in position.
Solution: The gas spring tension is too low for the monitor's weight. Increase the gas spring tension by turning the adjustment screw counter-clockwise ("+" direction) until the monitor holds its position.
  • Problem: Monitor springs up too easily.
Solution: The gas spring tension is too high for the monitor's weight. Decrease the gas spring tension by turning the adjustment screw clockwise ("-" direction).
  • Problem: Monitor is not level.
Solution: Check that the VESA plate is securely attached to the monitor and the monitor is properly seated on the arm. Adjust the tilt mechanism if necessary.
  • Problem: Mount feels unstable.
Solution: Ensure the C-clamp or grommet base is securely tightened to the desk. Verify that the main pole and arm clamps are also tightened.
