  1. Locate the battery cap on the side of the sight.
  2. Using the supplied Aimpoint T10 tool or a suitable coin, unscrew the battery cap counter-clockwise.
  3. Insert the CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing outwards (towards the cap).

2. Mounting the Sight

The ACRO P-2 is designed for Weaver Mount compatibility, making it suitable for various handgun and rifle platforms. Ensure your firearm has a compatible mounting system.

  1. Ensure the firearm is unloaded and safe before proceeding.
  2. Align the sight's mounting base with the corresponding slots on your firearm's rail.
  3. Secure the sight using the appropriate mounting screws. Refer to your specific mount's instructions for torque specifications. Overtightening can damage the sight or mount.

Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off and Brightness Adjustment

The ACRO P-2 features intuitive controls for power and brightness.

  • Power On: Press either the '+' or '-' button to turn on the sight. The sight will illuminate the red dot at the last used brightness setting.
  • Adjust Brightness: Press the '+' button to increase brightness and the '-' button to decrease brightness. There are multiple daylight and night vision compatible settings.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the '-' button for approximately 3 seconds until the red dot extinguishes.

2. Zeroing the Sight

Zeroing the sight is crucial for accurate shooting. This process adjusts the point of impact to match your point of aim.

  1. Set up a target at a known distance (e.g., 25 yards/meters).
  2. Using the Aimpoint T10 tool, locate the windage (R) and elevation (U) adjustment screws on the sight.
  3. Elevation Adjustment: To move the point of impact UP, turn the 'U' screw counter-clockwise. To move it DOWN, turn clockwise.
  4. Windage Adjustment: To move the point of impact RIGHT, turn the 'R' screw counter-clockwise. To move it LEFT, turn clockwise.
  5. Make small adjustments (each click represents a specific change in MOA, refer to specifications for exact value) and fire a group of shots to verify the adjustment. Repeat until the point of aim matches the point of impact.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and reliability of your Aimpoint ACRO™ P-2.

1. Cleaning

  • Lenses: Use a soft, clean cloth or lens paper to wipe the lenses. For stubborn dirt, use a small amount of lens cleaning fluid. Avoid abrasive materials.
  • Housing: Wipe the sight's housing with a damp cloth. For more thorough cleaning, a mild soap solution can be used. Ensure no water enters the battery compartment if the cap is not fully sealed.
  • Battery Contacts: Periodically inspect the battery contacts for corrosion. Clean with a pencil eraser or cotton swab if necessary.

2. Battery Replacement

Replace the CR2032 battery when the red dot becomes dim or fails to illuminate. With typical use, the battery should last approximately 5 years (50,000 hours) of constant-on operation. Refer to the "Battery Installation" section under Setup for replacement instructions.

3. Storage

When not in use for extended periods, it is recommended to turn off the sight to conserve battery life, although its constant-on capability is designed for long durations. Store the sight in a cool, dry place, protected from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
