3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

The AP01 operates on battery power. To install or replace batteries:

1. Locate the battery cabin cover (14) on the back of the device.
2. Open the cover.
3. Insert the required batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery cabin cover securely.

3.2 Initial Power On

After battery installation, the device should power on automatically. If not, long press the power switch (9) to turn it on.

3.3 Time and Date Setting

To set the time and date:

1. In clock mode, long press the Mode switch / Confirm button (11) to enter the settings interface (clock/calendar/week).
2. Use the Power switch / Setting button (9) to adjust the value (e.g., hour, minute, year, month, day).
3. Press the Mode switch / Confirm button (11) to confirm the setting and move to the next parameter.
4. Repeat until all parameters are set. The device will automatically exit setting mode after a period of inactivity or after setting the last parameter.

4.1 Display Information

The high-definition LCD screen displays various information simultaneously:

• Temperature: Shown in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit (user selectable, refer to settings).
• Humidity: Displayed as a percentage (%).
• Time: Current time in 24-hour format.
• Date & Week: Current date and day of the week.
• Comfort Level: Indicates environmental comfort as Dry, Comfortable, or Humid.

4.2 Temperature and Humidity Monitoring

The device continuously monitors and displays the ambient temperature and humidity. Readings are updated every 10 seconds.

• Temperature Range: -10°C to 50°C (14°F to 122°F). Readings below -10°C will show 'LLL', and above 50°C will show 'HHH'.
• Humidity Range: 10% to 99% RH.

4.3 Alarm Clock Function

To set and use the alarm clock:

1. Single press the Mode switch / Confirm button (11) to switch to alarm clock mode. The alarm time will be displayed.
2. Long press the Alarm clock mode button (10) to enter alarm setting.
3. Use the Power switch / Setting button (9) to adjust the alarm hour and minute.
4. Press the Alarm clock mode button (10) to confirm each setting.
5. To turn the alarm on or off, single press the Alarm clock mode button (10) while in alarm mode. An alarm icon will appear/disappear on the display.
6. When the alarm sounds, press any button to activate the 5-minute snooze function. To turn off the alarm completely, press the Alarm clock mode button (10) during the alarm sound.

4.4 Hourly Report Function

The device can be set to provide an hourly audio report.

• To turn the hourly report on or off, single press the Power switch / Setting button (9) while in clock mode. An icon (e.g., a bell or speaker) will indicate if the hourly report is active.

The device provides a visual indicator for environmental comfort based on temperature and humidity levels:

• DRY: Indicates low humidity.
• COMFORT: Indicates optimal temperature and humidity levels.
