1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the VOCIC Z55 Lightweight Folding Rollator. This 2-in-1 mobility aid is designed to provide support and comfort, functioning both as a rollator (walker) and a transport chair. Constructed from durable aluminum with all-terrain rubber tires, it offers stability and ease of use for daily activities. Please read this manual thoroughly before assembly and use to ensure safe and proper operation.

2. Safety Information

Your safety is paramount. Adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Always engage the brakes before sitting on the seat or using it as a transport chair.
  • Ensure all parts are securely locked in place before each use.
  • Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity of 136 kg (300 lbs).
  • Avoid using the rollator on uneven or slippery surfaces without proper caution.
  • Regularly inspect the brakes, wheels, and frame for any signs of wear or damage.
  • When using as a transport chair, ensure a capable attendant is pushing the chair. The user should not attempt to propel themselves in transport chair mode.
  • Always read the label, warnings, and instructions provided with the product before use or consumption.

4. Assembly Instructions

The VOCIC Z55 rollator is designed for quick and easy assembly, typically within 10 minutes. Follow these steps:

  1. Unfold the Frame: Carefully unfold the main frame until it locks into position.
  2. Attach the Backrest: Ensure the backrest is securely attached and can be flipped for conversion.
  3. Install Footrests: Insert the footrests into their designated slots on the front frame. They should rotate easily for storage or use.
  4. Adjust Handle Height: Press the adjustment buttons on the handles and slide them to your desired height. Ensure both handles are at the same height and securely locked.
  5. Attach Storage Bag and Cane Holder: Secure the storage bag under the seat and attach the cane/umbrella holder to the side of the frame.

5. Operating the Rollator

5.1. Dual Functionality: Rollator and Transport Chair

The VOCIC Z55 offers versatile 2-in-1 functionality:

  • Rollator Mode: For independent walking support.
  • Transport Chair Mode: For assisted mobility when tired or needing to be pushed.

5.2. Converting to Transport Chair Mode

To convert from rollator to transport chair:

  1. Engage the parking brakes.
  2. Flip the backrest from the front to the rear position.
  3. Rotate the footrests from their stored position to the forward-facing position.
  4. Ensure the user is seated comfortably and securely.

5.3. Braking System

The rollator features an advanced dual braking system for safety:

  • Hand Brakes: Squeeze the levers on the handles to slow down or stop.
  • Parking Brakes: Push the brake levers down until they click into place to lock the wheels for parking or sitting. Pull them up to release.

5.4. Adjusting Handle Height

The handles are adjustable from 84 cm to 99 cm to accommodate users between 140 cm and 190 cm tall. To adjust:

  1. Locate the adjustment buttons on the handle posts.
  2. Press the buttons and slide the handles up or down to the desired height.
  3. Release the buttons and ensure the handles are securely locked at the same height.

5.5. Folding and Transporting

The VOCIC Z55 is designed to be foldable for easy storage and transport:

  1. Ensure the rollator is in rollator mode (backrest forward, footrests folded).
  2. Pull the folding mechanism (usually a strap or lever under the seat) upwards.
  3. Gently push the sides of the frame together until it is fully folded.
  4. The compact design allows it to fit into most car trunks.
