4. Setup and Installation

4.1. Battery Installation (Receiver)

  1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the receiver unit.
  2. Insert the required batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment securely.

4.2. Transmitter Installation

The transmitter can be installed using either the provided adhesive tape or screws.

Using Adhesive Tape:

  1. Clean the desired installation surface thoroughly to ensure it is free of dust and moisture.
  2. Peel off one side of the protective film from the adhesive tape and attach it to the back of the transmitter.
  3. Peel off the other side of the protective film and firmly press the transmitter onto the cleaned surface for at least 30 seconds.

Using Screws:

  1. Mark the desired drilling points on the wall using the transmitter's mounting holes as a guide.
  2. Drill holes at the marked points and insert the wall anchors if necessary.
  3. Secure the transmitter to the wall using the provided screws.

4.3. Pairing (if necessary)

Your doorbell units are typically pre-paired from the factory. If re-pairing is needed or you are adding additional transmitters/receivers:

  1. Press and hold the volume button on the receiver for 5 seconds until it emits a "ding" sound and the LED indicator flashes. This indicates pairing mode.
  2. Within 5 seconds, press the button on the transmitter. The receiver will chime, indicating successful pairing.
  3. To pair multiple transmitters, repeat the process for each additional transmitter.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Changing Chimes

The receiver offers 60 different chimes. To change the chime:

  • Next Chime: Single-click the chime selection button on the side of the receiver.
  • Previous Chime: Double-click the chime selection button on the side of the receiver.

5.2. Adjusting Volume

There are 5 adjustable volume levels (0-110dB). To adjust the volume:

  • Press the volume button on the side of the receiver to cycle through the available volume levels.
  • The lowest setting is mute (0dB), indicated by an LED flash only.

5.3. Notification Modes

The doorbell supports three notification modes:

  • LED Flashing Only: Ideal for quiet environments or when sound is not desired.
  • Doorbell Chime Only: Standard audible notification.
  • Both: Combines audible chime with visual LED flash.

The doorbell remembers your last selected volume, melody, and mode settings even after power loss, thanks to its built-in memory function.

6. Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your TECKNET Wireless Doorbell, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the units with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in the receiver when the sound becomes weak or the LED indicator no longer flashes. For the transmitter, replace the battery if it stops sending signals.
  • Weather Protection: While the transmitter is IP65 weatherproof, avoid prolonged submersion in water or exposure to extreme temperatures outside its operating range (-20°C to 60°C / -4°F to 140°F).
  • Signal Interference: If you experience signal issues, ensure the distance between the transmitter and receiver is within the specified range and there are no major obstructions (e.g., thick concrete walls, large metal objects) that could interfere with the wireless signal.

7. Troubleshooting
