The Zephyr Siena ZSI-E36D uses baffle filters to capture grease and cooking odors. These filters should be cleaned regularly, typically every 3-6 weeks depending on cooking frequency.
- Removal: Carefully slide the baffle filters out of their slots.
- Cleaning: Wash the filters in hot, soapy water or place them in a dishwasher. Ensure they are completely dry before reinstallation.
- Reinstallation: Slide the clean, dry baffle filters back into their original positions.
5.2 Exterior Cleaning
The hood's exterior is made of stainless steel. To maintain its finish:
- Wipe surfaces regularly with a clean cloth dampened with warm water and a mild detergent.
- For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner, following the product's instructions.
- Always wipe in the direction of the grain to prevent scratching.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish.
