4. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your Roomba 105 Combo.
4.1 Emptying the Dust Bin
The dust bin should be emptied after each cleaning cycle, especially if you have pets or high traffic. Simply press the release button on the dust bin, pull it out, and empty its contents into a trash receptacle.
4.2 Cleaning the Filter
The filter is located within the dust bin and should be cleaned regularly to maintain suction power. Tap the filter against a trash can to remove debris. Replace the filter every 2-3 months, or more frequently depending on usage.
4.3 Cleaning Brushes and Wheels
Periodically check and clean the Edge-Sweeping Brush and Multi-Surface Brushes. Hair and debris can get tangled around them, reducing cleaning effectiveness. Use the cleaning tool provided to cut and remove tangled hair. Also, check the front caster wheel and drive wheels for any trapped debris.

4.4 Mop Pad Care
The microfiber mop pad is reusable and washable. After each mopping session, remove the pad and rinse it thoroughly. For deeper cleaning, it can be machine washed according to the instructions on the pad. Ensure the pad is completely dry before reattaching it to the robot.
5. Troubleshooting
If your Roomba 105 Combo encounters an issue, try the following steps:
- Robot Not Charging: Ensure the Home Base is plugged in and the robot is properly aligned on the charging contacts. Clean the charging contacts on both the robot and the Home Base with a dry cloth.
- Robot Getting Stuck: Clear any loose cables, small objects, or thick rugs that might obstruct the robot's path. The robot's sensors help it navigate, but extreme clutter can still cause issues.
- App Connectivity Issues: Verify your home Wi-Fi network is active and the robot is within range. Ensure your mobile device is connected to a 2.4 GHz network during initial setup. Restarting both the robot and your router can often resolve connectivity problems.
- Poor Cleaning Performance: Check the dust bin and empty it if full. Clean or replace the filter and ensure the brushes are free of tangled hair and debris.
- Robot Not Mopping: Ensure the water tank is filled and the mop pad is correctly attached and moist.
