4. Setup

4.1 Unboxing and Placement

1. Carefully remove the ice maker and all accessories from the packaging.
2. Place the ice maker on a stable, level surface. Ensure a minimum clearance of 4 inches (10 cm) on all sides for proper ventilation.
3. Connect the side water tank if not already attached, ensuring the inlet pipe is securely connected.

4.2 Initial Cleaning

Before first use, it is recommended to clean the unit:

1. Open the ice maker door.
2. Clean the inner side of the hatch door and the water retaining board with a soft cloth and mild detergent.
3. Clean the inner water tank.
4. Run a self-cleaning cycle (refer to Section 6.1 for instructions).

4.3 Filling the Water Tank

To begin ice production, fill the water tank:

1. Ensure the drain plug is securely closed.
2. Fill the side water tank with potable water up to the MAX fill line. The internal tank will automatically draw water.
3. Do not use distilled water as it may affect ice production.

5. Operation

5.1 Powering On and Basic Ice Making

1. Plug the ice maker into a grounded electrical outlet.
2. Press the Power button on the control panel to turn on the unit.
3. The display will show "Making Ice". The default ice size is usually Medium.
4. To change ice size, press the Size button repeatedly to cycle through Small, Medium, and Large.
5. Ice production will begin shortly. The first batch may take slightly longer.

6. Maintenance

1. Ensure the water tank is filled with potable water.

3. The cleaning cycle takes approximately 10 minutes.

6.2 Draining the Water

To drain the water from the unit:

1. Unplug the ice maker from the power outlet.
2. Locate the drain plug, typically at the bottom or back of the unit.
3. Place a container under the drain plug.
4. Remove the drain plug to allow water to flow out. Use the included drain extension pipe if necessary.
5. Once drained, replace the drain plug securely.
