3. Mouse Layout
Familiarize yourself with the buttons and features of your TECKNET Wireless Mouse:
- Left Button: Standard click function.
- Right Button: Standard right-click function.
- Scroll Wheel: For scrolling up and down. Can also be pressed for middle-click functionality.
- DPI Switch Button: Adjusts cursor sensitivity.
- Forward Button: Navigates forward in web browsers or file explorers (not compatible with macOS).
- Backward Button: Navigates backward in web browsers or file explorers (not compatible with macOS).
- Bluetooth Pairing Button: Initiates Bluetooth pairing mode.
- Power Switch (2.4G/OFF/BT): Selects connection mode or turns off the mouse.
- USB Receiver Compartment: Stores the 2.4G USB receiver.
- Battery Compartment: Holds 2 AAA batteries.
- LED Indicator: Displays DPI setting, low battery, and connection status.

4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
- Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the mouse.
- Insert 2 AAA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover.

4.2 2.4G Wireless Connection
- Take out the USB receiver from the compartment on the bottom of the mouse.
- Plug the USB receiver into an available USB-A port on your computer.
- Slide the power switch on the bottom of the mouse to the "2.4G" position. The LED indicator will light up green.
- Your computer should automatically detect and connect to the mouse.
4.3 Bluetooth Connection (BT5.0/3.0)
- Slide the power switch on the bottom of the mouse to the "BT" position. The LED indicator will light up blue.
- Press and hold the Bluetooth Pairing Button on the bottom of the mouse for 3-5 seconds until the blue LED indicator starts flashing rapidly. This indicates the mouse is in pairing mode.
- On your computer or device, go to Bluetooth settings and search for new devices.
- Select "TECKNET Mouse" (or similar name) from the list of available devices to pair.
- Once paired, the blue LED indicator will stop flashing and remain solid for a few seconds before turning off.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 DPI Adjustment
The mouse features 6 adjustable DPI levels: 800, 1200, 1600, 2400, 3200, and 4800. Press the DPI Switch Button (located behind the scroll wheel) to cycle through the sensitivity settings. The LED indicator will briefly flash red to indicate the current DPI level (e.g., one flash for 800 DPI, six flashes for 4800 DPI).

5.2 Silent Operation
The mouse is designed with silent click buttons, reducing noise in quiet environments such as libraries or offices.

5.3 Automatic Sleep Mode
To conserve battery life, the mouse will automatically enter a sleep mode after a period of inactivity. To wake the mouse, simply click any button or move it.

7. Maintenance
7.1 Battery Replacement
When the LED indicator flashes red, it signifies low battery. Replace the 2 AAA batteries as described in the "Battery Installation" section.
7.2 Cleaning
To clean the mouse, use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
8. Troubleshooting
- Mouse not responding:
- Check if the batteries are inserted correctly and have sufficient charge.
- Ensure the power switch is in the correct position (2.4G or BT).
- For 2.4G, ensure the USB receiver is securely plugged into a working USB port.
- For Bluetooth, ensure the mouse is properly paired with your device. Try re-pairing if necessary.
- Try the mouse on a different surface.
- Cursor movement is erratic:
- Clean the optical sensor on the bottom of the mouse.
- Change the DPI setting to a different level.
- Ensure you are using the mouse on a suitable surface (see image below).
