4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Mounting Options
The monTEK Dual Monitor Arm offers two installation methods: C-clamp and Grommet mount. Choose the method suitable for your desk.
- C-Clamp Installation: Suitable for desk thickness between 0.47" and 1.8".
- Grommet Installation: Suitable for desk thickness between 0.47" and 2.0". Requires an existing hole or drilling a new one.

4.2 Attaching Monitors
The monitor arm features a quick-release VESA plate for easy monitor attachment. Ensure your monitors have VESA holes (75x75mm or 100x100mm). If your monitor has a circular or non-standard VESA pattern, an additional VESA adapter may be required (not included).

4.3 Cable Management
Route your cables through the integrated cable clips along the arm to maintain a tidy and organized workspace. The base also includes a tool slot for convenience.

5. Operating and Adjustments
5.1 Gas Spring Tension Adjustment
The gas spring tension must be adjusted to match the weight of your monitors for smooth and stable positioning. Use the provided Allen key for adjustment.
- Important: Do not adjust tension before screen installation.
- Keep the arm horizontal before adjusting the tension.
- If the arm drops, turn the adjustment screw in the '+' direction until the display holds its position horizontally.
- If the arm rises, turn the adjustment screw in the '-' direction until it remains in a horizontal position.

5.2 Screen Adjustment Tips
Once installed and tension is adjusted, you can freely tilt, swivel, and rotate your monitors to achieve your desired viewing angles. The extended pole allows for significant height adjustments, supporting both side-by-side and vertical stacking configurations.

6. Maintenance
- Regularly check all screws and connections to ensure they are tight and secure.
- Clean the monitor arm with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Do not lubricate the gas spring mechanism unless specifically instructed by the manufacturer.

- Monitor sags or rises too easily: Adjust the gas spring tension as described in Section 5.1.
- Monitor does not hold position: Ensure all pivot points are tightened appropriately. Re-check gas spring tension.
- Arm is unstable: Verify that the C-clamp or grommet mount is securely fastened to the desk. Ensure the desk surface is stable.
