4.2 Detachable Microphone and Wireless Dongle

5. Setup
5.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge your headset. Connect the supplied USB Type-C cable to the headset's charging port (Figure 4.4) and the other end to a powered USB port. The LED indicator will show charging status and turn solid when fully charged. A full charge provides up to 30 hours of battery life.
5.2 Attaching the Microphone
Insert the detachable unidirectional microphone into the 3.5mm jack located on the left earcup until it clicks into place. Ensure it is securely connected for clear communication.
5.3 Connectivity Options
The CH351 offers three connectivity modes: 2.4GHz Wireless, Bluetooth, and Wired USB Type-C.
5.3.1 2.4GHz Wireless Connection
- Plug the USB Type-C wireless dongle (Figure 4.5) into an available USB port on your device (PC, gaming console, etc.).
- Slide the connectivity mode switch on the right earcup (Figure 4.3) to the 2.4GHz wireless icon.
- The headset will automatically connect to the dongle. The LED indicator will show a stable light once connected.
5.3.2 Bluetooth 5.4 Connection
- Slide the connectivity mode switch on the right earcup (Figure 4.3) to the Bluetooth icon.
- On your device (smartphone, laptop, etc.), go to Bluetooth settings and enable Bluetooth.
- Select "Cooler Master CH351" from the list of available devices to pair. The LED indicator will flash during pairing and become solid upon successful connection.
- The headset supports seamless pairing with up to three devices, allowing quick switching between them.
5.3.3 Wired USB Type-C Connection
Connect the headset directly to your device using the USB Type-C cable. This mode provides audio and microphone functionality without requiring battery power or wireless pairing.
6. Operating the Headset
6.1 Power On/Off
Press and hold the power button (Figure 4.3) for approximately 3 seconds to turn the headset on or off.
6.2 Volume Control
Rotate the volume scroll wheel (Figure 4.3) up or down to adjust the audio output level.
6.3 Microphone Mute/Unmute
The detachable microphone can be muted or unmuted using a dedicated button or control, typically located on the microphone arm or earcup. Refer to the specific button layout on your headset for exact functionality.
6.4 3D Surround Sound
The CH351 features built-in 3D surround sound for an immersive audio experience. This feature is automatically enabled and enhances spatial awareness in games and media.
6.5 Sidetone Function
The built-in sidetone feature allows you to hear your own voice through the headset, preventing you from speaking too loudly. This function can typically be toggled on or off via a control on the headset (refer to your headset's specific controls).
6.6 Multi-Device Switching
