Setup and Assembly

The Güde WM 562 TRI Field Mower requires some assembly before first use. Follow these steps carefully:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Check for any shipping damage and ensure all parts are present according to the packing list.
  2. Handlebar Assembly: Attach the handlebar to the main unit using the provided bolts and knobs. Ensure it is securely fastened and adjusted to a comfortable operating height.
  3. Wheel Attachment: If not pre-assembled, attach the large rear wheels. These wheels are crucial for maneuverability.
  4. Cutting Head Installation: Install the 4 mm double thread cutting head. Ensure the threads are correctly inserted and secured. Four spare threads are included.
  5. Fluid Levels:
    • Engine Oil: Fill the engine with 0.5 liters of 15W40 engine oil. Do not overfill.
    • Fuel: Fill the fuel tank with unleaded gasoline (0.8 L capacity). Use a funnel to prevent spills.

Operating Instructions

Starting the Engine:

  1. Ensure the fuel tank is filled and the oil level is correct.
  2. Press the primer pump several times until fuel is visible in the transparent line.
  3. Set the choke lever to the "START" position (if applicable).
  4. Pull the recoil starter handle firmly until the engine starts.
  5. Once the engine is running, gradually move the choke lever to the "RUN" position.

Mowing:

  • Adjust the cutting height using the glide bolt mechanism (35-95 mm).
  • Push the mower forward at a steady pace. The large rear wheels facilitate movement.
  • For dense or tall grass, consider making two passes: one at a higher cutting height, then a second at the desired final height.
  • The switchable 4 mm double thread head ensures precise cuts.
  • The ball-shaped front gliders help the mower glide smoothly over the ground, protecting sensitive surfaces.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Güde WM 562 TRI Field Mower.

  • Cleaning: After each use, clean the cutting deck and exterior of the mower. Remove grass clippings and debris. Use a brush or cloth; avoid high-pressure washers directly on the engine.
  • Engine Oil Check: Check the engine oil level before each use. Top up with 15W40 oil if necessary. Change the oil after the first 5 operating hours, then every 25 operating hours or annually.
  • Air Filter: Clean the air filter regularly, especially in dusty conditions. Replace if damaged.
  • Spark Plug: Inspect the spark plug annually. Clean or replace if fouled or worn.
  • Cutting Threads: Replace worn or broken cutting threads promptly. The mower comes with 4 spare threads.
  • Storage: For long-term storage, drain the fuel tank or use a fuel stabilizer. Clean the mower thoroughly and store it in a dry, protected area.
