5.1 Physical Installation

  1. Attach the Stand: Securely attach the desk stand to the back of the phone unit. The stand allows for two different angles.
  2. Connect the Handset: Plug one end of the coiled handset cord into the handset and the other end into the handset port on the phone unit (usually marked with a handset icon).
  3. Connect to Network (2-Wire): The Fanvil X303 is designed to utilize existing 2-wire cabling. Connect the appropriate 2-wire cable from your wall jack to the designated 2-wire port on the phone. This connection requires a Fanvil PN switch for proper operation.

  4. Connect Power:
    • Using Power Adapter: If not using Power over Ethernet (PoE), connect the power adapter to the phone's power port and then plug it into a power outlet.
    • Using PoE: If your 2-wire network connection provides PoE from the Fanvil PN switch, a separate power adapter is not required.

Upon successful physical connection, the phone will power on and attempt to connect to the network. The Fanvil X303 requires pairing with a Fanvil PN switch for optimal system operation and to establish VoIP connectivity.
