The Toro 60V MAX* 22 in. Recycler Personal Pace Auto-Drive Lawn Mower is designed for efficient and convenient lawn care. This battery-powered mower features Toro's Vortex turbocharged airflow system for fine mulching and a Personal Pace Auto-Drive transmission that adjusts to your walking speed. Dual LED headlights provide visibility for extended use.
This bundle includes the 22-inch Recycler mower, a 60V MAX* Flex-Force 6.0Ah Lithium-Ion Battery, and a 60V MAX* Flex-Force 1 Amp Lithium-Ion Battery Charger, providing a complete cordless mowing system.

2. Safety Information
Always read and understand the entire User Manual before operating the lawn mower. Failure to follow instructions can result in serious injury or property damage.
- Personal Protective Equipment: Always wear appropriate eye protection (safety glasses or goggles) and hearing protection when operating the mower. Wear sturdy footwear and long pants.
- Clear the Area: Before mowing, clear the area of objects such as rocks, toys, wires, or other debris that could be thrown by the blade.
- Keep Bystanders Away: Ensure children, pets, and other people are kept a safe distance from the mowing area.
- Slope Operation: Exercise extreme caution when mowing on slopes. Mow across the face of slopes, never up and down. Avoid mowing excessively steep slopes.
- Battery Safety: Use only the specified battery and charger. Do not expose batteries to water or extreme temperatures. Store batteries in a cool, dry place.
- Maintenance Safety: Disconnect the battery before performing any maintenance, cleaning, or when clearing a clogged discharge chute.
- Blade Awareness: Keep hands and feet away from the rotating blade. The blade continues to rotate for a short period after the motor is turned off.

4. Setup
4.1 Assembly
The mower comes partially assembled. Follow these steps to complete the assembly:
- Unfold the Handle: Carefully unfold the upper and lower handles until they lock into place. Ensure all locking mechanisms are secure.
- Attach the Grass Bag: If using the grass bag, attach it to the rear discharge opening of the mower according to the instructions in the full manual.
4.2 Charging the Battery
Before first use, fully charge the 60V MAX* Flex-Force Lithium-Ion Battery.
- Connect the 1 Amp battery charger to a standard electrical outlet.
- Slide the battery into the charger until it clicks into place.
- The charger's indicator lights will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes several hours.
- Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.

4.3 Installing the Battery
Once charged, install the battery into the mower:
- Open the battery compartment cover on the top of the mower.
- Align the battery with the battery port and slide it in until it clicks securely into place.
- Close the battery compartment cover.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Starting the Mower
The mower features a reliable push-button start:
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and securely installed.
- Press and hold the safety bail bar against the handle.
- Press the start button. The mower will start immediately.
5.2 Personal Pace Auto-Drive System
The Personal Pace Auto-Drive system automatically adjusts the mower's speed to match your walking pace. Simply walk, and the mower will follow. To increase speed, walk faster; to decrease speed, slow down.

5.3 Cutting Height Adjustment
Adjust the cutting height using the levers located near the wheels. Refer to the full manual for specific height settings and recommendations for different grass types.
5.4 Dual LED Headlights
The mower is equipped with dual LED headlights, allowing for mowing in low-light conditions or from dawn till dusk. The headlights activate automatically when the mower is running.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your mower. Always disconnect the battery before performing any maintenance.
- Cleaning the Mower: After each use, clean the underside of the mower deck to prevent grass buildup. Use a brush or cloth; avoid using a hose directly on electrical components.
- Blade Inspection: Regularly inspect the blade for sharpness and damage. A dull blade can tear grass, leading to an unhealthy lawn. Sharpen or replace the blade as needed.
- Battery Care: Store the battery in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. For long-term storage, charge the battery to approximately 50% capacity.
- Grass Bag Cleaning: Empty and clean the grass bag regularly to maintain airflow and collection efficiency.
7. Troubleshooting
