Safety Information and Battery Disposal
This section provides important safety guidelines and instructions for the proper disposal of old batteries.
General Safety Instructions
- Do not open, disassemble, or modify the battery or charger.
- Do not expose batteries to heat, fire, or direct sunlight.
- Do not short-circuit the battery terminals.
- Keep batteries away from children and pets.
- If battery fluid comes into contact with skin or eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention.

Disposal of Old Batteries
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally obligated to return old batteries to ensure proper disposal. Old batteries can be handed in at municipal collection points or at retailers. As a distributor of batteries, we are also obligated to take back old batteries, although our obligation is limited to the types of old batteries that we carry or have carried as new batteries in our product range. Old batteries of the aforementioned type can therefore either be sent back to us sufficiently stamped or handed in free of charge directly at our warehouse at the address mentioned in the imprint.
Meaning of Battery Symbols:
Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin. This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. For batteries containing more than 0.0005 mass percent mercury, more than 0.002 mass percent cadmium, or more than 0.004 mass percent lead, the chemical designation of the respective pollutant is located below the wheeled bin symbol. "Cd" stands for Cadmium, "Pb" for Lead, and "Hg" for Mercury.
