Important Safety Instructions
WARNING: Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and sturdy footwear.
- Ensure the chain brake is engaged when not actively cutting or when transporting the chainsaw.
- Keep hands and feet away from the cutting chain.
- Do not operate the chainsaw with one hand. Always use two hands to maintain control.
- Remove the battery pack when not in use, before servicing, or when changing accessories.
- This chainsaw features a low kickback bar and chain, but always be aware of potential kickback and maintain a firm grip.
- Operate the chainsaw in well-lit areas and maintain a stable footing.

Setup and Assembly
1. Installing the Bar and Chain
- Ensure the battery is removed from the chainsaw.
- Loosen the bar retaining nut on the side cover using the provided combination wrench.
- Remove the side cover.
- Carefully place the chain around the drive sprocket and then guide it into the groove of the guide bar. Ensure the cutting edges of the chain are facing the correct direction (refer to the arrow on the bar).
- Position the guide bar studs through the holes in the guide bar.
- Replace the side cover and hand-tighten the bar retaining nut. Do not fully tighten yet.
2. Adjusting Chain Tension
- With the side cover hand-tightened, locate the chain tensioning screw on the side of the chainsaw.
- Use the flathead end of the combination wrench to turn the tensioning screw. Turn clockwise to tighten the chain and counter-clockwise to loosen it.
- The chain is correctly tensioned when it is snug against the guide bar, but can still be pulled freely by hand. There should be no slack on the underside of the bar.
- Once tensioned, fully tighten the bar retaining nut with the combination wrench.

3. Adding Bar and Chain Oil
Proper lubrication is critical for chain and bar longevity and performance. Never operate the chainsaw without bar and chain oil.
- Ensure the chainsaw is on a level surface and the battery is removed.
- Unscrew the oil cap located on the side of the chainsaw.
- Fill the oil reservoir with high-quality bar and chain oil. A small funnel is recommended to prevent spills.
- Monitor the oil level through the translucent oil level window. Fill until the oil reaches the MAX fill line.
- Replace the oil cap securely.
Check the oil level frequently during operation, especially when recharging the battery. Refill as needed.
4. Installing the Battery
- Align the battery pack with the battery port on the chainsaw.
- Slide the battery pack into the port until it clicks securely into place.
- To remove, press the battery release button and slide the battery pack out.
Operating Instructions
1. Starting the Chainsaw
- Ensure the chain brake is disengaged (pulled back towards the front handle).
- Grip the front handle with your left hand and the rear handle with your right hand.
- Press the safety switch (located on the side of the rear handle) with your thumb.
- While holding the safety switch, squeeze the trigger to start the chainsaw.
The two-step starting system is a safety feature designed to prevent accidental startups.
2. Cutting Techniques
- Always maintain a firm grip with both hands.
- Allow the chainsaw to reach full speed before beginning a cut.
- Apply light, consistent pressure. Do not force the saw through the wood. The brushless motor is designed for efficient cutting.
- Be aware of the direction the wood will fall and any potential kickback.
- For larger limbs or beams, make relief cuts to prevent pinching the bar.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your chainsaw.
1. Cleaning
- After each use, remove the battery pack.
- Remove the side cover and use a small brush or compressed air to clear sawdust, chips, and debris from around the sprocket, bar, and chain.
- Clean the exterior of the chainsaw with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.
2. Chain and Bar Care
- Regularly check chain tension and adjust as needed (refer to "Adjusting Chain Tension" in Setup).
- Keep the chain sharp. A dull chain will reduce cutting efficiency and increase strain on the motor. Sharpen or replace the chain when necessary.
- Inspect the guide bar for wear or damage. Rotate the bar periodically to ensure even wear.
3. Oil System
- Always ensure the oil reservoir is filled with appropriate bar and chain oil before and during operation.
- Check the oil level window frequently.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Chainsaw does not start | Battery not installed or discharged; Chain brake engaged; Safety switch not pressed. | Install charged battery; Disengage chain brake; Press safety switch while squeezing trigger. |
| Chain not moving | Chain brake engaged; Chain jammed by debris; Incorrect chain tension. | Disengage chain brake; Remove battery and clear debris; Adjust chain tension. |
| Poor cutting performance | Dull chain; Incorrect chain tension; Insufficient bar and chain oil. | Sharpen or replace chain; Adjust chain tension; Refill oil reservoir. |
| Oil leakage when stored | Normal for chainsaws to weep oil; Oil cap not sealed properly. | Store on a surface that can catch drips; Ensure oil cap is tightly secured. |
