4.2 Attaching the Plug-it Power Cord

  1. Locate the Plug-it power cord.
  2. Align the connector on the power cord with the receptacle on the router.

4.3 Installing Collets and Router Bits

  1. Ensure the router is unplugged from the power source.
  2. Select the appropriate collet (1/4-inch or 5/16-inch) for your router bit.
  3. Insert the collet into the collet nut.
  4. Insert the router bit into the collet, ensuring at least 3/4 of the shank is seated.
  5. Place the collet nut with the bit onto the spindle and hand-tighten.
  6. Use the provided collet wrench to firmly tighten the collet nut, securing the bit. Do not overtighten.

4.4 Adjusting Routing Depth

The OF 1010 REBQ-Plus features precise depth adjustment.

  1. Place the router on a flat surface with the desired bit installed.
  2. Loosen the depth adjustment clamp.
  3. Plunge the router until the bit touches the surface.
  4. Use the fine adjustment knob to set the desired routing depth, accurate to 1/256" (1/10 mm).
  5. Tighten the depth adjustment clamp to secure the setting.

4.5 Attaching the Parallel Edge Guide

For routing parallel to an edge, attach the parallel edge guide.

  1. Insert the guide rods into the designated slots on the router base.
  2. Slide the parallel edge guide onto the guide rods.
  3. Adjust the distance from the bit to the fence using the central clamp and fine adjuster.
  4. Secure the guide in place.
