Important Safeguards

Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the inner pot, steamer basket, measuring cup, and spatula with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Wipe Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
- Placement: Place the rice cooker on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface, away from walls or cabinets to allow for proper ventilation.
Operating Instructions
Cooking Rice
- Measure Rice: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice. Rinse rice under cold water until the water runs clear, if desired.
- Add to Pot: Place the rinsed rice into the non-stick inner pot.
- Add Water: Add the appropriate amount of water. A common ratio is 1 cup of rice to 1 cup of water, but this may vary based on rice type and personal preference. Refer to the water level markings inside the inner pot.
- Place Inner Pot: Ensure the exterior of the inner pot is dry, then place it into the main unit.
- Close Lid: Close the lid securely.
- Select Function: Plug in the rice cooker. Press the 'White Rice' or 'Brown Rice' button depending on the type of rice. The cooker will automatically begin the cooking cycle.
- Keep Warm: Once cooking is complete, the cooker will automatically switch to 'Keep Warm' mode. The display will show 'b' or '00:00' and count up.
- Serve: Use the provided spatula to fluff and serve the rice.
Steaming Food
- Add Water: Pour approximately 1-2 cups of water into the non-stick inner pot. Ensure the water level is below the steamer basket.
- Prepare Food: Place vegetables, seafood, or other items into the steamer basket.
- Place Basket: Carefully place the steamer basket into the inner pot.
- Close Lid: Close the lid securely.
- Select Function: Plug in the rice cooker. Press the 'Steam' button. The display will show a default steaming time. You may adjust the time if needed (refer to specific steaming guides for different foods).
- Monitor: Monitor the steaming process. Once complete, the cooker may switch to 'Keep Warm' or beep to indicate completion.
- Serve: Carefully remove the steamer basket using oven mitts and serve the steamed food.
Using the Delay Timer
The Delay Timer allows you to program the cooker to start cooking at a later time, up to 15 hours in advance.
- Prepare Ingredients: Add rice and water (or water for steaming) to the inner pot as described above.
- Set Delay Time: Plug in the cooker. Press the 'Delay Timer' button. The display will show a default delay time. Press 'Delay Timer' repeatedly to adjust the delay time in increments (e.g., 1 hour).
- Select Cooking Function: After setting the delay time, press the desired cooking function button (e.g., 'White Rice', 'Brown Rice', or 'Steam'). The display will show the countdown for the delay time.
- Cooking Starts: Once the delay time counts down to zero, the cooker will automatically begin the selected cooking cycle.
Keep Warm Function
The 'Keep Warm' function automatically activates after most cooking cycles to keep food at an optimal serving temperature. You can also manually select 'Keep Warm' by pressing the 'Keep Warm' button. To cancel, press the 'Power' button.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Proper cleaning and maintenance ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your rice cooker.
- Unplug: Always unplug the rice cooker from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wash Removable Parts: Remove the inner pot, steamer basket, measuring cup, and spatula. Wash these parts with warm, soapy water using a soft sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. These parts are generally not dishwasher safe unless specified.
