3. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to properly set up your portable air conditioner.
3.1 Unpacking
- Carefully remove the unit and all accessories from the packaging.
- Check for any damage during transit. If damage is found, contact customer support.
- Ensure all components listed in the 'Package Includes' section are present.

3.2 Window Kit Installation
The window kit is designed for installation in both sliding sash windows and double/single-hung windows.
- Adjust the window sealing plate to fit your window opening. The kit is adjustable for window widths/heights between 26 and 50 inches.
- Secure the window sealing plate in place.

3.3 Exhaust Hose Connection
- Twist the exhaust hose connector onto the exhaust hose.
- Connect the assembled exhaust hose to the air conditioner unit's exhaust outlet.
- Insert the other end of the exhaust hose into the opening of the window sealing plate.
- Ensure all connections are secure to prevent air leakage.

3.4 Drainage Setup
The unit collects condensation during operation. It can be drained manually or continuously.
- Manual Drainage: When the internal water tank is full, the unit will stop operating and indicate 'Water Full'. Turn off the unit, place a suitable container under the drainage port, and remove the drain plug to empty the water.
- Continuous Drainage: For continuous operation, especially in high humidity, attach the provided water pipe to the continuous drainage port. Ensure the hose is directed downwards to a floor drain or a large container, allowing gravity to drain the water.
4. Operating Instructions
Your ZAFRO Portable Air Conditioner can be controlled via the LED touch panel on the unit or the included remote control.

4.1 Power On/Off
- Press the Power button on the control panel or remote to turn the unit on or off.
4.2 Mode Selection
- Press the Mode button to cycle through the available modes: Cool, Fan, Dehumidify, and Sleep.
- Cool Mode: Provides powerful cooling. Adjust temperature using the Up/Down arrows.
- Fan Mode: Circulates air without cooling. Select fan speed (Low/High).
- Dehumidify Mode: Removes excess moisture from the air.

4.3 Temperature Adjustment
- In Cool mode, use the Up and Down arrow buttons to set your desired temperature. The temperature range is typically 61°F to 88°F (16°C to 31°C).
4.4 Fan Speed Control
- Press the Fan Speed button to select between Low and High fan speeds.

4.5 Timer Function
- Press the Timer button to set the desired operating duration (1-24 hours) for automatic shutdown or startup.
- Use the Up/Down arrows to adjust the hours.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your ZAFRO Portable Air Conditioner.
5.1 Filter Cleaning
The unit features a removable and washable filter to maintain air quality.
- Unplug the air conditioner from the power outlet.
- Locate the air filter panel, usually on the back or side of the unit.
- Gently remove the filter.
- Wash the filter under running water with a mild detergent.
- Allow the filter to air dry completely before reinstalling it. Do not expose to direct sunlight.
- Reinstall the dry filter into the unit.

5.2 Water Drainage
Regularly check and drain accumulated water, especially if not using continuous drainage.
- If the 'Water Full' indicator illuminates, the internal water tank needs to be emptied.
- Turn off and unplug the unit.
- Place a shallow pan or tray under the lower drainage port.
- Remove the drain plug and allow all water to flow out.
- Replace the drain plug securely once empty.
5.3 Storage
When storing the unit for an extended period:
- Ensure all water is drained from the unit.
- Clean the air filter.
- Run the unit in Fan mode for a few hours to dry the internal components.
- Unplug the power cord and wrap it neatly.
- Store the unit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
