Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps carefully to assemble your upholstered platform bed. All necessary tools are provided in the hardware pack.
- Unpack and Identify Parts: Lay out all components on a clean, soft surface. Refer to the parts list to ensure everything is present.
- Assemble the Headboard: Attach the side shelves to the main headboard panel using the provided screws. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Attach Side Rails to Headboard: Connect the upholstered side rails to the assembled headboard using the designated bolts. Do not fully tighten bolts until all major components are connected.
- Attach Footboard with Drawers: Connect the footboard, which includes the two storage drawers, to the side rails. Ensure the drawer mechanisms align correctly.
- Install Bed Slats: Place the wooden slats across the bed frame. Secure them to the side rails using the provided fasteners. Ensure even spacing for optimal mattress support.
- Install Support Legs: Attach any central support legs to the slats or frame as indicated in the diagram. These provide additional stability.
- Final Tightening: Once all components are in place and aligned, fully tighten all bolts and screws. Do not overtighten.
- Insert Drawers: Ensure the two storage drawers slide smoothly into their designated compartments beneath the footboard.

Operating Instructions
This platform bed is designed for ease of use and efficient storage.
Using the Storage Drawers
The two large drawers located in the footboard are designed to slide smoothly on their tracks. To open, gently pull the handle on the front of each drawer. To close, push the drawer back until it is flush with the footboard. Avoid overloading the drawers to ensure smooth operation and prevent damage to the tracks.

Using the Headboard Storage Cabinet
The integrated storage cabinet in the headboard provides open shelving for books, decor, or personal items. Place items carefully to prevent them from falling. The shelves are not designed for heavy loads.
Maintenance
Proper care will extend the life and appearance of your upholstered platform bed.
- Cleaning the Upholstery: For general cleaning, gently vacuum the velvet fabric using an upholstery attachment to remove dust and debris. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild fabric cleaner specifically designed for velvet, testing on an inconspicuous area first. Avoid harsh chemicals or excessive moisture.
- Frame Care: Periodically check all bolts and screws to ensure they remain tight. Retighten if necessary, but do not overtighten.
- Drawer Maintenance: Keep the drawer tracks free of dust and debris to ensure smooth operation. If drawers become stiff, a small amount of silicone lubricant can be applied to the tracks.
- Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the fabric color to fade.

- Drawers are difficult to open/close:
- Check if the drawers are overloaded. Remove some items.
- Inspect the drawer tracks for any obstructions or debris. Clean if necessary.
- Ensure the bed frame is assembled squarely and all bolts are tightened correctly. - Bed frame feels wobbly:
- Recheck all assembly bolts and screws. Tighten any loose connections.
- Ensure the bed is placed on a flat, even surface. - Squeaking noises:
- Identify the source of the squeak. It is often loose connections or friction between parts.
- Tighten all bolts. If the squeak persists, apply a small amount of wax or silicone spray to contact points between slats and frame, or between frame components. - Missing parts:
- If you discover missing parts during assembly, do not proceed. Contact customer support immediately for assistance.
