1. Important Safety Information
Please read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before assembling, operating, or cleaning this charcoal grill. Failure to follow these instructions may result in fire, explosion, property damage, or personal injury.
- Outdoor Use Only: This grill is designed for outdoor use only. Do not operate indoors or in enclosed spaces.
- Clearance: Maintain a minimum distance of 3 feet (0.9 meters) from combustible materials (e.g., houses, trees, fences, decks).
- Stable Surface: Always place the grill on a hard, level, non-combustible surface.
- Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the grill at all times, especially during operation.
- Hot Surfaces: The grill's exterior surfaces become extremely hot during use. Use heat-resistant gloves or mitts when handling hot components.
- Charcoal Safety: Use only charcoal briquettes or lump charcoal. Do not use gasoline, kerosene, or alcohol to light charcoal. Use a charcoal chimney starter or approved charcoal starter fluid. Allow charcoal starter fluid to soak into charcoal for at least 15 minutes before lighting.
- Ash Disposal: Ensure all ashes are completely cold before disposing of them. Never dispose of hot ashes in combustible containers.
- Ventilation: Ensure proper airflow around the grill for efficient combustion and to prevent carbon monoxide buildup.
- Supervision: Never leave a lit grill unattended.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Before First Use
Before cooking food, operate the grill for at least 30 minutes with the lid closed and charcoal burning to burn off any manufacturing residues.
4.2. Lighting the Charcoal
- Open the grill lid and ensure all air vents are open.
- Place charcoal briquettes or lump charcoal into the charcoal trays. Do not overfill.
- Use a charcoal chimney starter or an approved charcoal starter fluid to ignite the charcoal. If using fluid, allow it to soak for 15 minutes before lighting.
- Once the charcoal is covered with a light gray ash, it is ready for cooking. Spread the charcoal evenly or arrange for direct/indirect cooking as desired.
4.3. Temperature Control
The grill's temperature is controlled by adjusting the airflow and the height of the charcoal trays.
- Air Vents: Open vents increase airflow, leading to higher temperatures. Closing vents reduces airflow, lowering temperatures.
- Charcoal Tray Height: Use the external lever to raise the charcoal trays for higher heat (closer to cooking grates) or lower them for less intense heat.

4.4. Cooking
Place food on the cooking grates. Close the lid for more even cooking and to retain heat and smoke. Monitor the internal temperature using the lid thermometer.
5. Maintenance and Care
5.1. Cleaning After Each Use
- Allow the grill to cool completely.
- Remove cooking grates and scrape off any food residue with a grill brush. Wash with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
- Empty the pull-out ash trays. Ensure ashes are cold before disposal.
- Wipe down interior and exterior surfaces with a damp cloth. For stubborn grease, use a mild grill cleaner.
5.2. Storage
Store the grill in a dry, protected area when not in use. Using a grill cover is recommended to protect against weather elements. The bottom cabinet provides convenient storage for grilling accessories.

6. Troubleshooting
- Low Heat: Ensure air vents are fully open. Check if charcoal trays are at the highest position. Add more charcoal if necessary.
- Excessive Smoke: This is normal during initial lighting. If excessive smoke persists, ensure proper airflow and that no grease is dripping directly onto hot coals.
- Difficulty Lighting Charcoal: Ensure charcoal is dry. Use sufficient starter fluid or a chimney starter. Allow adequate soaking time for fluid.
- Unstable Grill: Verify all assembly hardware is tightened. Ensure the grill is on a level surface and casters are locked.
