  5. Connect Devices (Optional):
    • Wired Connection: For wired devices (e.g., desktop computers, gaming consoles), connect an Ethernet cable from one of the router's LAN ports to the device's Ethernet port.
    • Wireless Connection: For wireless devices (e.g., laptops, smartphones), search for the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) printed on the label at the bottom of your router and enter the corresponding Wi-Fi password.
  6. Access the Web Interface: Open a web browser on a connected device and enter the default IP address (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) into the address bar. Log in using the default username and password (typically admin/admin or as specified on the router's label). It is highly recommended to change the default password for security reasons.
  7. Initial Configuration: Follow the on-screen wizard to complete the initial setup, including setting up your internet connection type (e.g., PPPoE, Dynamic IP, Static IP) and customizing your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Connecting to Wi-Fi

To connect a device to your router's Wi-Fi network:

  1. Enable Wi-Fi on your device.
  2. Scan for available networks.
  3. Select your router's Wi-Fi network name (SSID).
  4. Enter the Wi-Fi password when prompted.

4.2. Using Gigabit Ethernet Ports

The SR1041E features 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports for high-speed wired connections. Simply connect an Ethernet cable from your device to any of the LAN ports on the router. These ports are ideal for devices requiring stable and fast connections, such as desktop computers, smart TVs, and gaming consoles.

4.3. EasyMesh Technology

The SR1041E supports EasyMesh technology, allowing you to create a unified mesh Wi-Fi network with other compatible EasyMesh routers (up to 3 routers). This extends your Wi-Fi coverage and eliminates dead zones without compromising speed. Refer to the specific EasyMesh setup guide for detailed instructions on configuring a mesh network.

4.4. Advanced Management (Web UI / TR-069)

The router can be managed through its intuitive Web User Interface (Web UI) for home users. For service providers, the router supports management via the TR-069 protocol (datamodel 098), enabling remote configuration and monitoring. Access the Web UI using the IP address mentioned in the setup section to configure advanced settings such as port forwarding, parental controls, and QoS.

5. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your router:

  • Firmware Updates: Regularly check the Intelbras website for firmware updates. Keeping your router's firmware up-to-date can improve performance, add new features, and enhance security.
  • Cleaning: Gently clean the router's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols. Ensure ventilation slots are free from dust.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the router is placed in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating. Do not cover the ventilation slots.
  • Restarting: If you experience network issues, try restarting the router by unplugging the power adapter for 10 seconds and then plugging it back in.
