2. Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, always follow these basic safety precautions:

  • Read all instructions before using the appliance.
  • Do not immerse the appliance, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Supervise children to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
  • Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • Ensure proper ventilation. Maintain at least 3 inches of clearance on all sides of the unit.
  • This appliance is designed for cooling only; it does not have a heating function.
  • When using in a vehicle, ensure the vehicle's engine is running to prevent draining the battery.
  • Do not block the ventilation openings.

5. Setup

5.1 Placement

  • Place the mini fridge on a flat, stable surface.
  • Ensure there is at least 3 inches (7.6 cm) of clearance around all sides of the unit for proper ventilation. Blocking vents can impair cooling performance.
  • Avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight or near heat sources.

5.2 Power Connection

The Electactic LY2010 mini fridge supports two power options:

  • AC Power (Home/Office): Use the provided AC power cord. Connect one end to the AC port on the back of the fridge and the other end to a standard 100-120V wall outlet.
  • DC Power (Car): Use the provided DC power cord. Connect one end to the DC port on the back of the fridge and the other end to a 12V car cigarette lighter socket.

Important Note for Car Use:

To prevent draining your vehicle's battery, ensure the car engine is running when operating the mini fridge using the DC power option.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Powering On/Off

Locate the power switch on the back of the unit. Flip the switch to the 'ON' position to power on the fridge. Flip it to 'OFF' to power it down.

6.2 Cooling Performance

  • The mini fridge cools items to approximately 32-40°F (18-22°C) below the ambient temperature.
  • It takes approximately 3 hours to reduce the internal temperature from 86°F (30°C) to 40°F (4°C).
  • For optimal cooling, place pre-chilled items inside the fridge.

6.3 Door Operation

The fridge features a manual handle for secure door closure. To close the door completely, ensure the handle is engaged to create a tight seal. It does not use a magnetic closure.

6.4 Removable Shelf

The internal shelf can be removed or adjusted to accommodate items of different sizes. Gently slide the shelf out or into the desired slots.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Cleaning

  • Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
  • Wipe the interior and exterior surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
  • Ensure the unit is completely dry before plugging it back in.

7.2 Defrosting

This unit features manual defrost. If ice buildup occurs, unplug the unit and allow the ice to melt naturally. Wipe away any melted water with a clean cloth.
