Setup

1. Unboxing Contents

Upon opening the package, you should find the following items:

  • TechRise TR-MS317 Wireless Rechargeable Mouse
  • USB-A Receiver (stored in the mouse's battery compartment)
  • USB-C Charging Cable

2. Charging the Mouse

Before initial use, fully charge the mouse. Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the mouse's charging port and the other end to a USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter). A full charge typically takes 1.5 to 2 hours and can provide up to 3 months of usage (based on 2 hours of daily use). The LED indicator will blink when the battery is low and will remain solid when fully charged. The mouse can be used while charging.

3. Connectivity Modes

The TechRise TR-MS317 mouse supports three connection modes: 2.4GHz Wireless, Bluetooth 5.0, and Bluetooth 3.0. A switch on the bottom of the mouse allows you to select your preferred mode.

3.1. 2.4GHz Wireless Mode

  1. Locate the USB-A receiver stored in the compartment on the bottom of the mouse.
  2. Plug the USB-A receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
  3. Slide the switch on the bottom of the mouse to the "2.4G" position.
  4. The mouse should automatically connect to your computer.

3.2. Bluetooth Mode (BT5.0/3.0)

This mode allows connection to two devices simultaneously, ideal for devices without USB ports.

  1. Slide the switch on the bottom of the mouse to the "BT" position.
  2. Press and hold the Bluetooth pairing button (usually located near the mode switch on the bottom) until the blue LED light starts blinking rapidly. This indicates the mouse is in pairing mode.
  3. On your device (laptop, tablet, etc.), go to Bluetooth settings and search for new devices.
  4. Select "TechRise Mouse" or a similar name from the list of available devices to pair.

The mouse is equipped with 6 buttons for various functions:

  • Left Button: Standard click function.
  • Right Button: Standard right-click function.
  • Scroll Wheel: Scroll up/down, and middle-click function.
  • DPI Switch Button: Adjusts mouse sensitivity (DPI).
  • Forward Button: Navigates forward in web browsers or file explorers (not compatible with macOS).
  • Backward Button: Navigates backward in web browsers or file explorers (not compatible with macOS).

2. DPI Adjustment

The mouse offers 6 adjustable DPI levels to suit different tasks and preferences. Press the DPI switch button located below the scroll wheel to cycle through the settings:

Maintenance

1. Battery Management

The mouse features a rechargeable battery. To maximize battery life:

  • Charge the mouse when the low battery indicator blinks.
