5.2 Sensitivity Selection (H/L)

The tester offers two sensitivity modes:

  • High Sensitivity (H): Detects voltage in the range of 12V to 1000V AC. Suitable for detecting low voltage circuits or tracing wires.
  • Low Sensitivity (L): Detects voltage in the range of 48V to 1000V AC. Suitable for standard household wiring and reducing false positives.

Press the H/L Button to toggle between high and low sensitivity modes. An indicator light or display will show the current mode.

5.3 Non-Contact Voltage Detection

  1. Ensure the tester is powered on and the desired sensitivity mode is selected.
  2. Bring the tip of the tester close to the wire, outlet, or electrical component you wish to test.
  3. If AC voltage is detected, the tester will emit an audible beep and/or a visual indicator (e.g., flashing LED). The frequency of beeps and flashes may increase with higher voltage or closer proximity to the source.
  4. Always test multiple points to confirm the presence or absence of voltage.
