4. Safety Information

4.1. Built-in Protection Mechanisms

  • Overcurrent Protection: Prevents damage from excessive current flow.
  • Overcharge Protection: Stops charging once the battery is full to prevent overcharging.
  • Over-discharge Protection: Prevents the battery from discharging too deeply, which can reduce its lifespan.

5. Setup: Battery Installation

Follow these steps to replace the battery in your Dyson V7 vacuum cleaner:

  1. Prepare the Vacuum Cleaner: Remove the dust bin by pulling the top latch to empty it. Ensure the vacuum is powered off and disconnected from any charging source.
  2. Remove Bottom Screws: Using the provided screwdriver, remove the two screws located on the bottom of the main body of the vacuum cleaner.
  3. Remove Handle Screw: Locate and remove the single screw near the handle of the vacuum cleaner.
  4. Remove Old Battery: Carefully detach the old battery from the vacuum cleaner.
  5. Install New Battery: Align the new FLYLINKTECH battery with the vacuum cleaner and secure it by reinserting the three screws in reverse order. Ensure the battery is firmly seated.

Important Note: To prolong battery life, avoid charging the battery immediately after it has completely run out. Allow the main unit to cool down slightly before initiating a charge cycle.

6. Operating: Charging Instructions

The battery can be charged using the original Dyson wall-mounted charging dock or a compatible charger.

6.1. Indicator Lights

The battery features an indicator light to show its status:

  • Blue Light: Illuminates during charging and turns off when fully charged.
