2. Safety Instructions

  • Read all instructions before operating the appliance.
  • Always unplug the blender from the power outlet before cleaning or when not in use.
  • Do not immerse the motor base in water or other liquids.
  • Keep hands and utensils out of the container while blending to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the blender. A scraper may be used but only when the blender is not running.
  • Ensure the lid is securely in place before operating the blender.
  • Do not blend hot liquids in the main blender jar as pressure buildup can cause the lid to eject and result in burns.
  • Avoid contact with moving parts.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

3. Setup and Assembly

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Clean: Wash the glass jar, lid, and blade assemblies with warm, soapy water before first use. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth.
  3. Position Base: Place the motor base on a clean, dry, and stable surface. Ensure it is unplugged from the power outlet.
  4. Assemble Jar: For blending, ensure the 6-leaf blade assembly is securely attached to the bottom of the glass jar. For grinding, attach the flat blade assembly to the grinding cup.
  5. Place Jar: Carefully place the assembled glass jar (or grinding cup) onto the motor base. Rotate it clockwise until it locks securely into position. The blender will not operate if the jar is not correctly seated and locked.
  6. Secure Lid: Place the lid onto the glass jar and ensure it is firmly sealed.

4. Operating Instructions

Before operating, ensure the blender is properly assembled and plugged into a 120 Volt AC power outlet.

  1. Add Ingredients: Place your desired ingredients into the glass jar. Do not exceed the maximum fill line indicated on the jar. For best results, add liquids first, then soft ingredients, followed by hard ingredients and ice.
  2. Secure Lid: Place the lid firmly on the jar.
  3. Select Function/Speed: Use the control panel buttons to select your desired operation:
    • OFF: Turns the blender off.
    • MILKSHAKE / EASYCLEAN: For preparing milkshakes or using the self-cleaning function.
    • CHOP / SALSA: For chopping ingredients or making salsa.
    • PUREE / SMOOTHIE: For pureeing ingredients or making smoothies.
    • LIQUEFY / ICE DRINK: For liquefying ingredients or preparing ice-based drinks.
    • ICE CRUSH: Specifically designed for crushing ice.
    • P (Pulse): Provides short bursts of power for controlled blending. Press and hold for continuous pulse, release to stop.
  4. Monitor Blending: Observe the blending process. If ingredients are not circulating, turn off the blender, remove the lid, and use a spatula to push ingredients towards the blades. Re-secure the lid before resuming.
  5. Finish: Once blending is complete, press the 'OFF' button. Wait for the blades to stop completely before removing the jar from the base.
  6. Serve: Carefully remove the lid and pour out the contents.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your SHARDOR Blender.

  1. Unplug: Always unplug the blender from the power outlet before cleaning.
  2. Easy Clean Function: For quick cleaning, add warm water and a drop of dish soap to the glass jar (up to half full). Secure the lid and press the 'EASYCLEAN' button or use the 'P' (Pulse) function for a few seconds. Empty the jar and rinse thoroughly.
  3. Hand Washing: For thorough cleaning, disassemble the jar, blade assembly, and lid. Wash these parts in warm, soapy water. Use a brush to clean around the blades carefully. Rinse all parts thoroughly and allow them to air dry completely before reassembling or storing.
  4. Motor Base: Wipe the motor base with a soft, damp cloth. Never immerse the motor base in water or any other liquid.
  5. Storage: Store the blender in a clean, dry place. Ensure all parts are dry before storage to prevent mold or mildew.
