Setup Instructions

  1. Unpack the Mat: Remove the MegaMat from its SideWinder stuff sack. Unroll the mat on a clean, flat surface where you intend to use it.
  2. Self-Inflation: Locate the inflation valve(s) on the mat. Open the valve(s) and allow the mat to self-inflate. The open-cell foam inside will expand and draw air into the mat. This process may take several minutes, especially during the first few uses or if the mat has been stored compressed for a long time.
  3. Top-Up Inflation (Optional): Once the mat has largely self-inflated, use the included Top-Up Pump to add additional air until your desired firmness is achieved. Connect the pump to the inflation valve and compress the pump to push air into the mat. Do not overinflate.
  4. Close Valves: Once the desired firmness is reached, securely close the inflation valve(s) to prevent air from escaping.

Operating Instructions

Adjusting Firmness

The MegaMat allows for customizable comfort. You can adjust the firmness to your preference:

Deflation and Packing

  1. Open Deflation Valve: Locate and open the deflation valve(s).
  2. Roll the Mat: Begin rolling the mat tightly from the end opposite the valves. As you roll, the air will be expelled through the open deflation valve(s).
  3. Expel Remaining Air: Once rolled, you can briefly open the inflation valve(s) to ensure all remaining air is expelled, then quickly close them before unrolling slightly and re-rolling for a tighter pack.
  4. Secure and Store: Secure the rolled mat with any integrated straps or by placing it directly into the SideWinder stuff sack.
