Setup

1. Battery Installation and Initial Charge:

1. Unscrew the end cap of the headlamp unit.
2. Ensure the pre-installed lithium-ion battery is correctly oriented with the positive (+) terminal facing the headlamp head.
3. Screw the end cap back on securely.
4. Connect the USB-C charging cable to the battery's charging port (located on the battery itself, accessed by unscrewing the end cap) and to a USB power source.
5. Allow approximately 3 hours for a full charge. The power button acts as a power level indicator (see "Operating Instructions" for details).

2. Attaching the Headband:

• Slide the headlamp unit into the mounting brackets on the adjustable headband.
• Adjust the headband straps to ensure a comfortable and secure fit around your head.
• For added stability, attach the optional top strap by looping it over the top of your head and securing it to the main headband.

3. Hard Hat Compatibility:

The Transcend 3K is designed to securely attach to standard hard hats using the included clips.

1. Slide all four hard hat clips onto the headband strap.
2. Position the headlamp on your hard hat.
3. Hook each clip over the edge of the hard hat to secure the headband in place. The silicone liner on the headband helps grip the hard hat contours.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off and Mode Selection:

The headlamp features a Mode Selector Dial for easy access to different lighting modes.

• To Turn On/Off: Rotate the Mode Selector Dial to any desired mode (Low, Medium, High, Turbo) to turn the light on. Rotate to the "Off" position to turn it off.
• To Cycle Modes: Rotate the dial to select between Low, Medium, High, and Turbo modes.
• Strobe Mode: A dedicated Strobe mode is also available via the dial.
• PowerSave Lockout: To prevent accidental activation and conserve battery during storage or transport, ensure the dial is set to the "Off" position.

3. Adjustable Tilt:

The headlamp unit can be tilted up to 180 degrees to direct the light beam precisely where needed, whether for close-up work or illuminating a path ahead.

4. Detachable Work Light Function:

The headlamp unit can be easily detached from the headband to function as a standalone work light. Its magnetic base allows it to be securely attached to metal surfaces for hands-free illumination.

5. Power Level Indicator:

The power button on the headlamp serves as a battery level indicator:

• Solid Orange: Battery level is above 25%.
• Pulsing Orange: Battery level is below 25%, indicating that recharging is recommended.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the headlamp with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Battery Care: For optimal battery life, recharge the lithium-ion battery regularly and avoid fully discharging it. Store the headlamp with a partial charge if not used for extended periods.
• Water Resistance: The IPX7 rating means it is waterproof for up to 30 minutes in fresh water at depths of up to 1 meter. Ensure the end cap is securely tightened before exposure to water.
• Storage: Store the headlamp in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting

• Light Not Turning On:
  • Check if the battery is properly installed and fully charged.
  • Ensure the Mode Selector Dial is not in the "Off" position.
• Dim Light Output:
  • The battery may be low. Recharge the headlamp.
  • Ensure the lens is clean and free from debris.
• Charging Issues:
  • Verify the USB-C cable is securely connected to both the battery and the power source.
  • Try a different USB-C cable or power adapter.
  • Ensure the battery is correctly inserted into the headlamp unit.
• Headlamp Detaches Easily:
  • Ensure the headlamp unit is fully seated in the headband mounting brackets.
