4. Setup & Installation

4.1 Preparing the Car Seat

Adjust Headrest: Press the headrest adjustment lever (often located at the top of the seat back) and slide the headrest to the appropriate height for your child.
Select Recline Position: Use the ReclineSure leveling system to choose one of the 4 recline positions. Ensure the RideRight bubble levels indicate a proper angle for your vehicle.

4.2 Installation in Harness Mode (for toddlers)

For children within the harness weight and height limits:

LATCH Installation:
1. Locate your vehicle's lower anchor bars.
2. Attach the car seat's LATCH connectors to the vehicle's lower anchor bars.
3. Press down firmly on the car seat and pull the LATCH strap to tighten until the car seat does not move more than 1 inch side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.
4. Attach the top tether strap to the vehicle's top tether anchor and tighten.
Vehicle Seat Belt Installation:
1. Route the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt through the designated belt path on the car seat.
2. Buckle the vehicle seat belt.
3. Engage the LockSure belt-tightening system by lifting the lever and feeding the belt through, then closing the lever to secure.
4. Press down firmly on the car seat and pull the vehicle seat belt to tighten until the car seat does not move more than 1 inch side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.
5. Attach the top tether strap to the vehicle's top tether anchor and tighten.

4.3 Converting to Booster Mode (for older children)

When your child outgrows the harness limits, convert the car seat to belt-positioning booster mode:

Remove Harness: Follow the instructions in your full product manual to safely remove and store the 5-point harness system. The car seat has integrated storage compartments for the harness straps.
Position Car Seat: Place the car seat on the vehicle seat.
Secure Child: Seat your child in the booster. Route the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt through the designated shoulder belt guide and under the armrests. Ensure the lap belt lies low across the hips and the shoulder belt rests across the center of the shoulder and chest.

5. Operation

5.1 Securing Your Child in Harness Mode

Place your child in the car seat.
Bring the shoulder straps over your child's shoulders and buckle the harness.
Connect the chest clip at armpit level.
Pull the harness adjustment strap to tighten the harness until it is snug against your child's body. Ensure you cannot pinch any excess webbing at the shoulder.

5.2 Using CupFolders

The car seat includes two removable and dishwasher-safe CupFolders. These can be folded away to save space when not in use.
