Please read this manual carefully to ensure proper use and optimal performance.

4. Getting Started

4.1. Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the pillow speaker. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the speaker's charging port and the other end to a 5V/500mA USB power adapter (not included).

• A full charge takes approximately 2 hours.
• The indicator light will show charging status (e.g., red for charging, off when fully charged).

4.2. Power On/Off

• To Power On: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.
• To Power Off: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Switching Modes (Bluetooth / MP3)

The speaker supports both Bluetooth and MP3 playback. After powering on, you can switch between modes:

• To switch to Bluetooth Mode: Double-click the power button. The device will enter pairing mode.
• To switch to MP3 Mode: Double-click the power button again. Ensure a Micro-SD card with audio files is inserted.

5.2. Bluetooth Mode Operation

1. Turn on the pillow speaker and switch to Bluetooth mode (indicator light will flash).
2. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone, tablet, or other compatible device.
3. Search for "Ejoyous Speaker" (or similar name) in your device's Bluetooth settings and select it to pair.
4. Once paired, the indicator light will become solid, and you can play audio from your device.

5.3. MP3 Mode Operation

1. Insert a Micro-SD card (up to 32GB, not included) loaded with MP3, WMA, AAC, APE, or FLAC audio files into the designated slot.
2. Turn on the pillow speaker and switch to MP3 mode. The device will automatically start playing audio from the Micro-SD card.

5.4. Timer Function

To set the automatic shutdown timer:

• Double-click the volume button (or a dedicated timer button if present) to cycle through the timer options: 30 minutes, 60 minutes, or 90 minutes.
• The device will automatically power off after the selected duration.

5.5. Volume Control

You can adjust the volume directly on the pillow speaker or through your connected device (in Bluetooth mode).

• Use the volume up (+) and volume down (-) buttons on the speaker to adjust the volume.
• For optimal sound quality and to prevent sound leakage, it is recommended to keep the volume levels low on both the speaker and your connected device.

• Keep the device dry and clean. Avoid exposure to moisture or extreme temperatures.
• Clean the surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

8. Troubleshooting

8.1. No Sound / Low Sound

• Ensure the device is powered on and fully charged.
• Check the volume levels on both the pillow speaker and your connected audio source.
• Verify that the speaker is correctly positioned under your pillow. For best results, place it directly under your head.
• If using Bluetooth, ensure the device is properly paired and within the 10m range.
• If using MP3 mode, ensure the Micro-SD card is inserted correctly and contains supported audio files.

8.2. Bluetooth Pairing Issues

• Make sure the pillow speaker is in Bluetooth pairing mode (indicator light flashing).
• Turn off and on Bluetooth on your audio source device.
• Forget the device from your audio source's Bluetooth list and try pairing again.
• Ensure no other Bluetooth devices are interfering with the connection.

8.3. Device Not Turning On

• Ensure the device is fully charged. Connect it to a power source and wait a few minutes before attempting to power on again.
• Press and hold the power button for the required 3 seconds.
