1. Setup and Assembly
Before operating your Litheli 40V 16-inch Electric Lawn Mower, ensure all components are present and correctly assembled. Refer to the following steps for initial setup.
1.1 Unboxing and Component Identification
Carefully remove all items from the packaging. Verify that you have the main mower unit, two 4.0Ah batteries, the grass collection bag, and the handle assembly components.

1.2 Handle Assembly
Attach the lower and upper handle sections to the mower unit. Secure them using the provided fasteners. Ensure all connections are tight and stable for safe operation. The handle features quick-release levers for easy folding and unfolding.
1.3 Grass Collection Bag Attachment
Assemble the grass collection bag by attaching the fabric bag to its frame. Lift the rear discharge flap of the mower and hook the grass bag onto the designated slots. Ensure it is securely attached to prevent grass clippings from escaping.
1.4 Battery Installation
Open the battery compartment cover located on top of the mower. Insert both 4.0Ah batteries into their respective slots until they click securely into place. Close the battery compartment cover.

2. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for safe and effective operation of your lawn mower.
2.1 Adjusting Cutting Height
The mower features a 6-position height adjustment lever, allowing you to select cutting heights from 0.98 inches to 2.95 inches. Adjust the lever to your desired height based on grass type and desired lawn appearance.

2.2 Starting the Mower
To start the mower, ensure the safety key is inserted. Press and hold the safety button, then pull the bail switch towards the handle. Release the safety button once the motor starts. To stop, release the bail switch.
2.3 Mowing Techniques
For best results, mow in straight, overlapping lines. Avoid cutting more than one-third of the grass blade length at a time. The 16-inch cutting width allows for efficient coverage. The mower supports both mulching (without the grass bag) and bagging (with the grass bag attached).

2.4 Battery Performance
With two fully charged 4.0Ah batteries, the mower provides an operating time of up to 30+ minutes, suitable for areas up to 2700 sq ft. Charging time for both batteries is approximately 120 minutes.

2.5 Battery as Power Bank
The 4.0Ah batteries can also function as a 20,000 mAh power bank, offering versatile charging options for various electronic devices via USB-C.

3. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your lawn mower.
3.1 Cleaning the Mower
After each use, disconnect the safety key and remove batteries. Clean the underside of the mower deck to remove grass clippings and debris. Wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth. Ensure the grass bag is emptied and cleaned regularly.

3.2 Blade Care
Periodically inspect the manganese steel blade for sharpness and damage. A dull or damaged blade can affect cutting performance and battery life. Replace the blade if necessary, following safety guidelines in the full user manual.
3.3 Battery Care and Storage
Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Always charge batteries using the recommended charger. Avoid storing fully discharged batteries for extended periods. For long-term storage, charge batteries to approximately 50%.
3.4 Storage
The mower features a foldable handle for compact, space-saving storage. Loosen the quick-release levers on the handle to fold it down. Store the mower in a dry, protected area.

4. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your lawn mower.
4.1 Mower Not Starting
- Ensure batteries are fully charged and properly inserted.
- Verify the safety key is fully inserted.
- Confirm the safety button and bail switch are engaged correctly.
4.2 Poor Cutting Performance
- Check if the blade is sharp and free from damage.
- Adjust the cutting height to suit the grass length and type.
- Avoid mowing excessively wet or tall grass, which can strain the motor.
4.3 Battery Overheating
- If batteries feel hot, allow them to cool down before recharging or resuming operation.
- Avoid continuous heavy-duty mowing in extreme heat.
4.4 Loose Components
- Regularly inspect all fasteners, especially on the wheels and handle assembly, and tighten as needed.
